The War On Drugs

Recommended Posts

This is how we win the war on drugs, just a couple three clicks and you've done a great thing for the cause.

This is the only site that I visit, could you all post this on some (all) of the sites you visit, Please?

Nine former heads of the Drug Enforcement Administration are standing in our way to legalize marijuana in three states this year.

In Colorado, Oregon and Washington, ballot initiatives will let the voters decide whether they want to legalize marijuana in their states. These former DEA officials are so scared that the public will vote to legalize that they sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder asking him to oppose all the ballot initiatives.

Let's show the Attorney General that our voice is stronger than former drug war generals. Urge Attorney General Holder to let states decide their own marijuana policies this November!

In the past few years, the states have been on the front lines of marijuana legalization. We’ve seen 17 states and the District of Columbia legalize marijuana for medical purposes and 15 states have effectively decriminalized marijuana possession in small amounts. More than half of all Americans support marijuana legalization. And the ballot initiatives in Colorado, Oregon and Washington have promising chances of passing.

The people who want to maintain marijuana prohibition are afraid. That’s why supporters of the drug war status quo are urging Holder to speak out against marijuana legalization. They’re desperate to block our progress, and they want to overshadow all the work you’ve done getting to this historic moment. They know if even one of these states legalizes marijuana, it would change the future of drug policy in our country -- and we know it would be change for the better.

Don’t let drug war proponents get in the way of marijuana legalization. Pressure Attorney General Holder to let voters decide their own marijuana policies this election year.

With your help, we can make sure nothing stands in the way of states voting to legalize marijuana this November!

Sincerely,

Bill Piper

Director, Office of National Affairs

Drug Policy Alliance

This is the thank you I received for my, "clicking away." I share this because I want you all to see that this war can be won and this is just one of the ways that we can win. So, click it to win!

Thank you for urging Attorney General Holder to let voters decide their own marijuana policies this election season. Now we need to reach out to as many people as we can to grow this movement and win.

Encourage your friends and family to join you by forwarding them the message below.

Want to do even more? If you know anyone living in Colorado, Oregon or Washington, call them and make sure they vote on their marijuana legalization ballot initiatives in November.

Sincerely,

Bill Piper

Director, Office of National Affairs

Drug Policy Alliance

----FORWARD THE MESSAGE BELOW----

Hey,

In Colorado, Oregon and Washington, ballot initiatives will let the voters decide whether they want to legalize marijuana in their states. Nine former heads of the Drug Enforcement Administration are so scared that the public will vote to legalize that they sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder asking him to oppose all the ballot initiatives.

The people who want to maintain marijuana prohibition are afraid. That's why supporters of the drug war status quo are urging Holder to speak out against marijuana legalization. They're desperate to block our progress.

I did something about it and I hope you'll join me. We need to show Attorney General Holder that our voice is stronger than former DEA officials: urge him to let states decide their own marijuana policies this November!

This was sent to me from Americans for Safe Access and needs to be shared/acted upon, thank you.

I will be attending the court dates in Grand Rapids, I hope that someone else will as well, may be we can carpool from the Big Rapids area, please send me a pm.

Please post this on your favorite forum, we need to fight this drug war any way we can and this is another one of those small ways we can help.

Medical cannabis in Michigan will take a brutal blow during the first week of October with the sentencing of 5 patients and providers in federal court. Coming out to show solidarity really means a lot to the defendants, and it also has been shown to influence Judges. All 5 defendants are being federally sentenced for cultivation and conspiracy to manufacture marijuana. Please come out to show your support for these heroes of our movement ...

When: 3:00 PM Monday, October 1

What: Sentencing for Jerry Duval, Jr. and Jeremy Duval

Where: 231 Lafayette Blvd.

Detroit, Michigan

Judge Lawson

When: 8:45 AM Thursday, October 4

What: Sentencing for Shelley Waldron and Jaycob Montague

Where: 110 Michigan St. NW

Grand Rapids, Michigan

Judge Robert Bell

When: 8:45 AM Friday, October 5

What: Sentencing for John Marcinkewciz

Where: 110 Michigan St. NW

Grand Rapids, Michigan

Judge Robert Bell

Please remember to:

  • Be respectful. It is often hard to sit and watch injustices unfold in front of you, but interruptions in the courtroom can cause a judge to take his anger out on the defendant.
  • Dress for court. Dress like it is YOU that is on the stand. As supporters in the courtroom your appearance reflects on the defendant.
  • When the judge dismisses the defendant, everyone should all stand up and leave with them.

I signed the thing to tell AG. This was through the group DPA, which recently had an important Nation Wide effort to draw attention to the "Drug War" and how it affects the other Victims of this misleading manipulative program.

The other article you "came across" was from ASA, [2nd article]. Since DPA is the only sight you go to, would you say it's more important to sign their thing, than protecting the rights of [obviously] commercial growers [ASA].

Since DPA is the only sight you go to, would you say it's more important to sign their thing, than protecting the rights of [obviously] commercial growers [ASA]. I have no idea where you came up with commercial growers from, that certainly is not what I'm promoting. I am only interested in

Both articles came from ASA, the first article is the one I clicked on and the second article was the thank you for your participation letter with a bonus at the end.

I will apologize as I wasn't very clear as to what site I visit. It should have read that the MMMA is the only site that I visit.

Finally, I didn't post this to cause an argument, I posted it hoping to inspire others to help the cause.

Can you explain your remarks, "......to sign their thing, than protecting the rights of [obviously] commercial growers [ASA]? I don't see anything pertaining to "commercial grows." Is this just an assumption or do you have the facts?

Again, I didn't create this post to cause a fight, I posted it to help our brothers/sisters and that is all. Please don't put anymore into it than that. I hope that you and many others will be attending one of these poor soles sentencing next week.

This is a letter from attorney Matt Abel MINORMAL-TALK, as you can clearly see, this is very important folks, you may be all happy and warm curled up on the couch smoking your bowl (or what ever) but, it could be you in front of that Judge waiting to find out what the future holds. Wouldn't you appreciate the support of a few friendly faces while you stood in front of that judge?

I can't stress enough as to how important this is to our people and our futures, I hope you will agree.

Hey Herbie, you got me, I see how you meant the MMMA now, yet that's not how I read it. We'll chalk that up to The Human Condition.

My objective was just to point out that their was no support from ASA for the DPA efforts earlier this month...

and if in your opinion which group would you support as in Donations.

Yes OK I'll share my druthers here, tooooo bad no one supported DPA earlier in the month... more importantly why not?
