my advice plant some seeds, or get some good cuttings, some pro-mix BX. some cfl's and a 400w hps...i dont recommend flowering under cfls. the best way to learn is to start, it is very had to be prepared as a novice, as you are yet to find your own style, and what works best for you and your situation. i will say one thing, as with any other trade the tools are key, get you a supply catalog and learn what equipment is available, this will help you deal with problems as they come up. Also never tell anyone the location of your grow,...EVER. no matter what...
