"if the community in which they exist supports them" button.

 

because i vote yes if they community wants them,

or no if they don't.

I don't like the current dispensary situation. I think they should close. I don't think they should put anyone in jail for marijuana.

For their own protection and that of their staff and patients, in light of the recent ruling and from all Legal advice we have heard, it would seem they should close.

Someone told me that growing over 72 plants is illegal.. So I don't do that. I'm not sure what advice to give people doing what they know is illegal.

I said no, because even with local licensing, they still operate in defiance of federal law (and ignore the Justice Department memos). I do not think a state law can effectively protect dispensaries and commercial grows, and I think trying to do so will draw unwelcome attention to our entire program.

 

Hmm .. by that logic, should the entire MMMA be done away with?

No PB. Zap clearly was referring to the fact that dispensaries are no longer in unambiguous compliance with state law and they are commercial. These are the two things the Ogden memo suggested would invite federal prosecution.

The Ogden memo is no longer applied. I believe it was replaced.

 

In and of itself, saying nothing should be legal under MI law while illegal under federal law, leaves out any medical marijuana at all.
