Urge To Meet ?

recently it has been brought to my attention that some of the folks that are active here in the forums would like to get together for a non informational type of gathering.

 

basically a picnic type event.

 

maybe camping?

maybe for a day?

maybe for a weekend?

 

someplace centrally located in the state...

 

i pose this thread to offer up feedback on the idea.

 

do you want to get together and "put faces to the personalities" ?

 

seeking any and all feedback.

Meet in A2 25 dollar fine for smoking if the local police even bother to write the ticket. Just looking at it from the legal point of view although I am sure there must be some sufficently isolated area where no one can tell you ae roasting fish.

I say my house, or the campground ritght behind my house, we can medicate all we want here, I know alot of free places to camp within walking distance of the ausable river, tubing, but most of all medicating will not be a problem, Ive spent a whole summer out there and not seen a forestry service,

 

Im kidding jsut being stingy lol, my house would be good, but I will take any place, Im thinking we have the most poeple in the program down state, I know at least 2 of us that live in the same county in mid east mi and havent met yet, Hint Hint!

Im in too,from the Gaylord area, had alot of fun at Tarzans MMMA get together a couple years back,meet new ppl and had fun..

we are going to work on the details and logistics for a get together...

 

i heard mention of the Gaylord area. we may have some friends there that are willing to help... it is centrally located and we may have some space available depending on how many people show an interest in attending.

that's really the reason i started this thread.

to pick a date.

to pick a place

and to figure out how many people can and want to make it.

 

i was thinking sometime in early July.

June is graduation month.

may the weather is questionable.

august is back to school preparation and family time month.

i too loved going to all the get togethers at Tarzans.

 

speaking of Tarzan...

 

he needs prayers from all of us tonight.

 

he is ill and has been admitted to the hospital with some kind of unknown infection a few days after a surgery.

 

he is a good man and i have been praying for him all day.

 

i hope he will be ok.

 

i ask that anyone who is able to do so give out a prayer and or a few moments of solace, best wishes and happy thoughts.

but then i realized part of the allure is for people to meet the folks that are here communicating with each other day by day.

 

it isn't enough to have 3 locations where people from those areas meet each other...

 

well it is.. in its own right..

 

but.

 

what we kinda need is a chance for everyone that communicates here to meet each other in one place..

 

if we can all make it and have that desire that is.

 

i for one know i would love to meet so many people from here i have not met yet.

 

however that being said. i feel obligated to speak about this now. for everyone whom would be affected. i suffer from issues of anxiety and PTSD. i have been known to have issues with overwhelming situations and i must say that as we move ahead and plan this event... the very nature of my personal disability and life struggle could impact my own ability to make a commitment to attending.

i will do everything i can to come.

 

it has been to long since i have seen most of you that i have already met.

 

and i sincerely would love to put a face to many that i have not met yet.

 

things in this world change so quickly...

 

looking forward to a productive summer...

Middle location I'd say is Grayling area.... The bridge (mackinaw city) is not even close to being central... Grayling is fair for Detroit people,Escanaba people and even closer for Grand rapids area...
