Id also like to mention... in the years prior to the mmj vote, it was a big topic at hash bash. Hash bash helped us, whatever you think of it.

And  now they are trying to bone us. We can change our attitudes as quickly as they changed theirs.

So overall, is Hash Bash helping or hurting us?

I have my opinions, and that is why I don't participate in it, but I am curious how others see it.

Dr. Bob

This is the first one I have been to since the first one was held. The only difference I can see between the first one and this one is that there are a lot more people now, but other than that it looked the same. Back in the 70's there were a whole lot of "scruffy" hippies playing bongos and strumming guitars, Hari Krishnas floating about in their robes, and just generally a whole lot of spaced out people milling around. Yesterday it seemed as though there were only spaced out people milling around. The one main thing that the current Bash had in common with the first is, as usual, there were no belligerent people causing trouble. Both the first one and the current one were pretty peaceful.

i remember last year (and the year before that) the highway signs on m-14 had something about pot smoking being illegal on campus. didnt see that this year.

this year i heard it was going on from wwj 950 am.

they interviewed an advocate and didnt interview any prohibitionists.

kind of a little endorsement.

btw, the hash bash and other people who are for legalization are our friends.

we need to stick together. the cops and prosecutors and judges are stuck together. we need all the friends we can get.

Thank you, and well said. the folks here would rather we hate everyone, and do nothing.

No offense but who is us, you are not a patient, not a caregiver, not a recreational user. Does Hash Bash do harm to Doctors that recommend MM, quite possibly.

Well, I suppose I am practically un American then, as I chose not to go, due to the ever increasing

& overwhelming commercialism present each year.

Did any one pick up an all American, built on good ole American Capitalism... MediSwipe tee shirt while attending also???

Not directed at you personally abe :)

Dan, Totally agree with you, but I have read the drs views on hash bash before. I find it ridiculous that hash bash is some kind of black eye on the community and see no harm to patients enjoying the afternoon there. I do see the bash contributing to the eventual end of any need for a special doctor having to sign a special form for you or me.

perhaps this would have been a better post than my previous, it reads much ruder than it was meant to be.

Hash Bash is not a black eye for anything...

But it was always, and I mean always, about legalization.

To turn it into a rally for HB 4271 is totally off topic.  As I recall the "dispensary" proponents did the same thing in the Lansing rally in September right after the McQueen case came down in the COA.

So the question is not whether Hash Bash is cool, great, timely, and wonderful, it is about whether proponents of 4271 used it to manipulate the public.  They sure did not say they intend to trade home growing to expand their empires, did they?

Yea yea yea... ya got me.

I used to kinda like Asparagus too, but have grown tired of it.  :butt2:

But definitely. Trying to pin down most peoples positions is like trying to step on the same piece of water twice.

You aint no diff than michale scott or most people, we all can have a lil change of heart and mind!

Ya ever hear the saying alot of good people go into politics, but alot of bad come out?

Peace

I have only went a couple times and never seen any trouble. Other than cops arresting a few people anyway..

I got a 5 dollar fine there in 79! I wish I still had it!

Now the hash bash has turned out to be a place for all dif sides to get on there soap boxes and deliver their message, If ya dont like any of the messages ya have to get your own soap box to stand on and make your message be heard!

Peace

Jim

the hash bash helped us about as much as the kent state deal in the 70's, by the end of the 70's people were tired of hippies living in their neighbor hoods, I lived in a neighbor hood that had lots of young familys and rental homes, and id say 60% of the rental homes in macomb county in scs was hippie crash pads and drug dens, I lived right across the street from one and 4 houses down was another, and than another, and if you only seen what they looked like when they moved out, you would see what kind of pigs they were, I think that is how they got the name pigs for cops was how they lived themselves, like a bunch of stoned pigs! with a bunch of pus coming out of their mid sections! lol

Peace

For one, testified for several patients in court. Probably the most important thing a certification doctor can do, and there are few willing to do it.

well i was not aware of that, and as bobs stated all docs should do that, so hes really just doing what he should do for his hundred bucks. now has he done anything to help us?
