I just wanted to introduce myself. Im from Grand rapids and I see the State has cashed my MM card fee so I assume that when I get home it will be waiting for me. I understand the next step is finding a care giver that is a good fit for me and him or her. Im not sure how to do this and I'm thinking I should go to a Compassion Club I the area. I don't really know of one but I would go to Muskegon or any where in the West Mi area to learn about this. I am on high does of Fentanyl patches and before that I used Methadone. Both are not friendly drugs to be on and I'm finding the addition to Fentanyl to be quite strong. I am on a plan that my family doctor has come up with to slowly get off the Fentanyl but I need to replace the pain relief with MM. So can someone help me as I'm really a bit lost. I am not sure what the next step is assuming my card is in the mail when I get home. I am looking for a  caregiver that can give high quality product to use in a vaporizer and also I have heard that oils and other products are good to eat or use in cooking.

The closest club to you is North Star in Howard City and the CRC down in Kalamazoo.  They provide education and caregiver/patient networking but no meds.

I visited North Star in Howard city for the first time this month.  They are friendly and informed.  Their meeting was ran in a professional manner.  They meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday each month.  The first Monday is for everyone, the second is for paid members only.  Membership is $20 per year and I will be buying mine on the 1st Monday in May if all goes well.

 

North Star meets at a log cabin style restaurant on 46 between old 131 and the freeway.  They are across the street from the truck stop on the north side of 46.  Sorry, I don't know the name of the restaurant, but the food looked very good.
