We as Patients and Caregivers NEED the Law WE VOTED FOR to STAY. ALL of the currently proposed bills

only get in the way.

The Patient / Caregiver system is Working

Do Not open up Our Good Law to politicians/corporations/drug dealers/foreign gov or corp/..................

I opened yet another mmj dialogue with my pcp last week.

Of course doc knows I am a mmmj pt. yet cannot write

a recommendation for me due to the large 'health system'

they are part of.  When I 1st. started seeing this doc, doc

was in no way interested in mmj.  After nearly 4 years doc

is more open to the conversation.  I had a 3rd year med

student in with us that day & that was the main reason I

again opened dialogue.

What I began with is that 'medibles' as in baked goods,

will completely destroy my migraines.  I wanted doc to

know what the COA did this year.  Actually doc was rather

appalled by the fact that smoking was now what the COA

thought all patients should do to medicate.

I also brought up our Endocannabinoid System. Doc informed

me that they would do more research on the subject.

Now, last year I had a fit because "Medical Marijuana Patient"

was on my chart notes.  I told doc that I was now potentially

'black balled'.  Not understanding I explained.  Humm, chart notes

say nothing about mmj this round.

I still recieve my pain meds from my pcp.

Pain clinic on the other hand, forget telling them you are using cannabis.

In most cases I would say to NEVER tell your doctor.

  • 2 weeks later...

You are correct, I admit. I cannot maintain the needs of a 7gram/month patient. I drive 65-100 miles each delivery to my five patients every month(each). I couldn't do that for a donation of 50 dollars. I don't reach out to those areas, but that's who finds me. I think many in my county grow there own, outdoors, and in. I stick with experienced users and typically they need more than a new user anyway, but I do get to interview some couple gram per week patients and I have to pass them up.

In the beginning I did accept a couple of these while practicing a perpetual gardening plan.

Farmers markets and dispensaries come in handy for that same reason. Even with the higher costs, most only are getting a couple few grams at a time, and don't mind the sting. It seems crazy to us ounce/week users, but that's why we have our own gardens right.

Many cg's are in need of low needs patients. When properly matched the two can become a successful relationship for many years. Good interviewing skills and honesty can be  used to make sure both parties will have their expectations met.

For you maybe, not for everyone else.

Seems to me it takes a lot other caregivers taking all the 1/4oz a month patients for it to work for you.
