Certification Center In Farmington Hills Raided

Recommended Posts

Hello I am a MMMP and Caregiver. I have been going to Michigan Medical Marijuana Advocates 32730 Northwestern HWY Farmington Hills Michigan since 2010 for certification. Recently I went to renew a couple patients and found out this Dr. Office had been raided by the Oakland County Sheriffs Department on 4-28-2013. After having this problem I went to a local certification center with a patient to get renewed and encountered the issue of this patient not having a primary care physician's medical consent and records. This patient had the paperwork from last years dr. certification, as well as their now expired card but does not have a PCP. They do not have insurance. They were not required last year to have these documents, and I am at a loss of how to get them recertified??? Please Help!!!

Theres so many crooks out there, then the legislators are denying people for the hike in SSD rates..

I had no clue the last cert Dr. I was seeing was a crook, had the office signing certs and he wasn't even the one seeing the people.. then was still writing certs after his medical license expired.

So the new laws to weed out the phonies seems to be having a effect, but its hurting 1000's of unknowing PT's that are following the rules.. just being taken advantage of by crooked Dr's..

Have to re read the OP, did it say why they were raided?

Why not go to a new Cert Dr. and START a new Bona fide relationship, with said Dr?

I'm kind of in the same boat, don't have a pcp anymore due to having my card, so I had to start over with a new Dr. gave him my old records that I had, and just began a new relationship with that dr. and was certified by them, and will continue to make follow ups with that Dr.

Farmington Hills, MI Marijuana Doctor’s Office Raided

by Brian Wallace Legal • Tags: doctor, marijuana, michigan, raid

While info is scarce, it is reported that the Michigan Medical Marihuana Advocates, a doctor’s office that had specialized in certifications was emptied this past week by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department. The officers were carrying out a civil judgement signed by a district court judge to seize all assets in order to satisfy a $3000 judgement against the doctors clinic.

Below are court documents left on the padlocked building. It appears, earlier this year, a billboard company, also located in Farmington Hills filed civil charges against the doctor, we assume for non-payment, which led to a full on seizure of all of the doctors business assets, records and files. Odd for a civil matter. Even more amazing, is the speed at which a judge signed a court order to sieze the doctor’s assets.

For patients that had used the facilities at 32730 Northwestern Highway in Farmington Hills, Michigan, we advise calling the clinic before showing for an office visit. It is not known if or when they will re-open.

Sound like the place I went to there was two different offices.. I can't open those links just timestamps all my info. :pic::watching:

anyways, regardless, If you truly have a medical issues then surely you can dig up medical records from a Dr. somewhere.

Or like you said you had done before sign a release form to the certifying MM Dr. and they can get them that way.

You don't have to actively currently have a PCP to get your cert, or insurance, you just make a appointment with a MM cert Dr. and follow the steps.

find a cert doctor who will be the patients pcp. it shouldnt be difficult.

if you dont have medical records, they can be made via xrays and a physical.

having old medical records is a bonus.

followup care/appointments are also good , and part of the revised MMMA law.

my friend didnt have a pcp either.

when he had a problem with his ear, he went to a head/eye/ear/neck specialist.

a problem with his foot? a foot specialist.

theres a large section of americans that dont visit a doctor on a regular basis.

dont sweat it. make a few phone calls, easy.

As of April 1 2013 the law did change, and yes you will need to bring your medical records with you to your appointment now according to the Wellness Center in Flint.

Sorry, that is not true.  This is an Individual Policy @ WC-flint

Try MI Organic Solutions 3549 S Dort Hwy, Flint, MI. They still will let you sign a waiver.

Have you heard of any changes Dr. Bob?

I'm concerned because my problem happened over 14Yrs ago and getting a hold of records that old will be a problem as the docs I had closed shop.

My recommendation on your 14 year old problem would be to get an update to show it is an on-going problem.  That will document your 'current' condition which is what is required by the Act (and always was by they way).

There are sliding scale, income based clinics, chiropractors, urgent cares and ers that will help you and if you look around, you can find them inexpensively.  We are actively working on a solution as well involving partnerships with other healthcare providers to better document a patient's condition for a very reasonable cost compared to the alternatives.  Stand by for announcements on the website.  We have the people to do it now and will launch the program soon.

I don't have insurance and only go to a Dr. when I'm near death. I don't seek treatment for my ailments since pain pills are the only thing I've ever received, a mask at best.......since I don't eat that garbage, I don't go

I was just about to start going to the walk-in clinics and start wasting money to build the paperwork in my file. It kinda pissed me off that to remain in the program I'd have to waste my money for 0 real treatment, 0 helpful drugs and 0 new info....$120 for a piece of paper, needed at least a couple times a year to provide some tangible proof that building houses for almost 40years MAY have caused severe back issues and constant debilitating pain?? I thought it was common knowledge that "rough" carpentry is "back breaking work"? not to mention, at nearly 50yo, I could come up with a long list of ailments and conditions that would potentially qualify me for the program. I just go with my most problematic reoccurring condition.

but then I figured there HAS to be a better way to remain legal and keep my money from just paying for the pieces paper saying I am injured. wasteful and inconvenient at best. I started making calls and found a program that seems to be my answer

the Dr I used for certification this year is in A2. he requires you keep an appointment every 6 month. $50 per visit. making the fee $200 for a 2 year certification...or the same $100/yr charged before our law was reworked, AND I have an ongoing re-occurring Dr/patient relationship with my certification doctor.

I'm not advertising here for them, I have no connection other than what's been described above. I have no proof this arrangement would stand up in court, but it seems to cover all the bases and follow the letter of the law.

if you want their contact info you'll have to send me a private message request
