Our government is now owned and run by large corporations that can buy the political voting machinery to get the legislation passed that they choose for their own interests, which they cloak and hide behind slogans and the fear that we are going to lose freedoms that we already lost a long time ago.

I personally became certain that we were all being made fools of when a conservative Republican (G.W.Bush) used government money in a socialist move to bail out the banks and large corporations in 2008 during the economic crash which was brought on by the very same people that received the bailout money ... the LARGEST SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAM this country has EVER seen... and all done by a CONSERVATIVE Republican.

This political game is a very large joke that, for some reason, many of us are still buying into.

But I'll keep right on voting (independent / libertarian / green party) just for the hell of it... everybody needs a hobby.

Ever hear that old saying: You can spend money or you can spend time.  We can fight back against, but it takes a lot of work and personal time.  The problem with getting people involved is that you don't get paid for that time.  You have to feel passionate about something to spend hours and hours of your time for free.  How many people do you know that are wiling to do that over politics?

That's why old people are so good/powerful at politics, they have plenty of time after retiring.

Getting cannabis decriminalized / legalized at the federal level could be a major turning point for America. It would mean changes in both the 'political environment' as well as in the 'physical environment' ... green jobs and personal freedoms could only be a positive thing for all of us.

Otherwise we will continue on the road to becoming 'burnt toast' as a country.
