Michigan State Police and the Southwest Enforcement Team executed search warrants today at six locations in three counties including three medical marijuan compassion clubs in Springfield.

The raids were at Karmacy, 4549 W. Dickman Road; the Southwest Compassion Care Center on 20th Street; and a third location at 695 S. 20th St.

Police said they also executed search warrants at the homes of owners of the businesses.

Officers would not say why they were searching the businesses. They said information about the raids would be released later today.

Calhoun County Prosecutor David Gilbert and Chief Assistant Matt Smith visited all three of the businesses that were raided.

The raids were conducted simultaneously about 10:30 a.m. today.

Got this email today

Good afternoon to all MMMP Patients from the Battle Creek Compassion Center.

We are sending this email out today to briefly clarify some particular misinformation that has been going on recently.

Contrary to channel 3 news reports, we have not experienced any interference with local or state law enforcement.

The reporters had confused our establishment with another facility in the surrounding township.

We were closed yesterday briefly for security purposes but are here for all of our patients as of Thursday, June 27th

for our regular hours of operation. We apologize for any misunderstandings or inconvenience that may have occured.

Sincerly,

BC3 STAFF

I am a member of the karmacy and am wondering where to get my meds now. I don't know of any caregivers in my area i guess to the streets I go, what a shame.

Dispensary vs. the streets.  So you know where to find meds on the street but have no clue how to find a CG?  OK I will try to help you out.

Here are some caregivers seeking patients in your end of the state:

http://kalamazoo.craigslist.org/hab/3897003375.html

ttp://jxn.craigslist.org/hab/3889293515.html

Here is an ad from a long-time MMMA member who seems to be open to patients ANYWHERE:

http://michiganmedicalmarijuana.org/classifieds/item/633-caregiver-available/

Another member of this site willing to drive to help out a patient  "Traveling is not a problem":

hhttp://michiganmedicalmarijuana.org/classifieds/item/627-caregiver-seeking-patients-big-rapids/

Another CG who contributes to this site who is in West MI:

And yet another option - also a contributor to this site:

http://michiganmedicalmarijuana.org/classifieds/item/625-seeking-patients-in-the-west-michigan-area/

So before you go to the streets, maybe you ought to look into these options and find yourself a CG who will probably charge you about half of dispensary prices.

Glad that this website can help yet another patient avoid the high cost of buying meds from illegal dispensaries.

Be well.

I would suggest everyone support organizations working towards getting HB 4271 passed. 4271 will restore safe access across the state. Here is the NPRA's facebook page, they are trying to get 4271 passed

We already have safe access.  Around here, we call it "assigning a CG"

Unfortunately that doesn't work for everyone. Patients often need a variety of strains not available from a single caregiver and a variety of routes of administration, often not available from a single caregiver. Patients need options.
