Bill, Are you confused? It's not too late to come out as a supporter of states rights.
Celliach
He has supported state's rights from the beginning. He was one of the SAs that took the ACA to the SC. He just doesn't believe in state's rights when it comes to marijuana.

+washtenaut
Bill somehow got elected to the completely wrong office. The laws of this earth are of no import compared to the voices in his head. Darn it! Pope Billybong sort of had a nice ring to it too.
greenbuddha
The people, the voters, of each state have the right to decide what takes place within their state. And only a blatant hypocrite would say they are for states rights and then set out to take away a right established by the people of that state. We have to stop electing and appointing 'hypocrites' into political offices.

Without serving as State's Attorney his chances of getting elected Governor are way less, and that's where he has his eyes set.

Celliach
POLITICS, n. A strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles. The conduct of public affairs for private advantage. POLITICIAN, n. An eel in the fundamental mud upon which the superstructure of organized society is reared. When he wriggles he mistakes the agitation of his tail for the trembling of the edifice. As compared with the statesman, he suffers the disadvantage of being alive. -Ambrose Bierce, from The Devil's Dictionary
