Not recently, hope he's still alive, though our government? seems to have a handle on torture and prolonging it's victims lives.  As evidenced by their Private Offshore Torture facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Where they have been, for strictly political reasons,  effectivley torturing an entire Nation for over 50 yrs.

The most recent article I could dig up on Bradley: When did America Change

Funny how when the Pentagon papers were released during the Vietnam Era, everybody thought the releasing person, Danail Ellsberg, was a hero.  Now that 60 years have passed and Manning did the same thing for another war, everyone thinks he's a traitor.

What do you think changed in the USA to make everyone's opinions so different this time?

Creeping authoritarianism.

Frightened people often look to an authoritarian leader to protect them and will aggressively attack anyone or anything at challenges the authority of their chosen protector.

Bob Altemeyer did a very in depth study of this phenomenon:

I'm actually familiar with Altemeyer's work.  John Dean, the reformed conservative, likes to quote him in his writings.  Dean's book, "Conservatives without Conscience" is amazing, and I think, a must read for anyone that wants to understand modern politics in the US.

I have a copy, and have purchased copies for other politically oriented friends and family. That's where I first heard of Altemeyer.

John Dean does a wonderful job of exposing what he believes is wrong with modern conservative ideology.

Maybe Noam Chomsky knows. It is pretty much assured that he has a take on this. Maybe we should ask him.

The Corporate Takeover of U.S. Democracy

As corporate personhood and managerial independence were becoming established in law, the control of corporations over the economy was so vast that Woodrow Wilson described "a very different America from the old, ... no longer a scene of individual enterprise ... individual opportunity and individual achievement," but an America in which "Comparatively small groups of men," corporate managers, "wield a power and control over the wealth and the business operations of the country," becoming "rivals of the government itself."

Can't get enough of this guy. I've found that there are youtube videos with his commentary on Manning and scads of other topics. He has a vast body of written work.

Conservatives hold Chas. Krauthammer out as their ideological intellectual. Not to say he's not a pretty smart guy, but talking slow does not an intellectual make. For some fun watch Chomsky in debate with former conservative intellectual (is there a greater oxymoron?) William Buckley, who died several years ago, on youtube.

" Whats sauce for the goose  should  be [?]  sauce for the gander "

Why wasn't Richard Nixon ever charged with treason ?

Recently information has come to light to show the involvement of RMN aided by his associate HKissinger. To sabotage the '68 Peace Talks to insure his ongoing attempts to get his hands on the Controls. Including the 1973 Peace Talks where he announces the Peace Agreement even though North Vietnam had surrendered unconditionally in 1968. South Vietnam walked out on the 68 talks, at RMN & HKs request.

Yes. They have taken over government functions. Example: Pee in this cup. We want to know what you do on your own time and we don't want you taking drugs.

The Republicans (corporate shills) want to wholesale the entire government to corporations. Example: Private for profit prisons.

WTF? How did we ever let ourselves get hoodwinked into buying this BS?

Simply put, Milhouse was not charged with any crimes because Ford granted a presidential pardon. Remember?

Great News  Today, the USA adopted a New Drug Control Policy on July 9, 2013. Signifying the first acknowledgement of failed policies.

"...the Obama administration  based on recent on drug use figures in the U.S. has  announced the end of drug policy as an  criminal justice issue. This shift in U.S. strategy has left the countries engaged in the war against drugs abandoned and it is assumed by pressure from intelligence sources and the national security agency of the White House."

+ New Mexico abandons strategy

Despite signs the U.S. market control by Mexican cartels retail over three thousand cities and persistent criminal violence, President Obama decided last July 9 to a change of direction to the strategy, give up the fight against bands and focus on public health approach

The National Drug Control Strategy document 2013-www.grupotransicion.com.mx-full text, the Obama administration is based on recent figures on drug use in the U.S. and announces the end of drug policy as an issue criminal justice. This shift in U.S. strategy left abandoned to countries engaged in the war on drugs which was assumed by political pressure and national security intelligence from the White House.

The new strategy could draw the Obama scenario for the short term move towards the legalization of all illegal drugs, although the introduction of the Strategy 2013 claiming that it would not, in fact, the police and judicial retreat against cartels in the U.S. who already control markets and retail drug injected will affect Latin American countries where the cartels dominate much of the violence.

Obama's strategy could have a secret undisclosed: budget cuts that should sort the American bureaucracy and many expendable program has been implemented by the White House anti-drug strategy. The bad news for the U.S. is that Obama's new strategy will allow the consolidation of the cartels in controlling drug supply market within the EU.

The Obama administration's approach to its new strategy focused on public health problem and assumes that the drug "is a brain disease" that can be treated medically and especially prevention. The downside of the strategy lies in the fact that it is defined in terms of the criteria only Americans where legalization is advancing at the expense of leaving left to the countries fighting drug trafficking problem not as consumption but as a security issue inside, national security, public safety and cartels consolidate territorial areas of the state.

The strategy to combat drug trafficking in Mexico was Mexico Merida Initiative with the George W. Bush endorsed Obama. Also, despite the new strategy, Washington is demanding that Mexico and Colombia-and now to countries in Central and contaminated-cartel settlement decision to end the band from a military approach and war. Not least, for example, Washington has been insistent on talking about Narco-insurgency as a national security issue for the EU own.

The dark side of the new strategy the U.S. could be in Obama's decision to abandon the fight against cartels that affect stability in countries like Mexico, Colombia and Central America and several in Europe where Mexican gangs are already settled-because softening of the decision to fight the cartels tend to strengthen them.

And the other effect would be logical to expect pressure from the U.S. to begin the legalization of marijuana in these nations to equate the two U.S. states, as well as the judiciary and police would relax by opening the doors of the EU to Mexican cartels in themselves and are settled in at least three thousand U.S. cities.

Moreover, the surprising new drug strategy of the EU was not consulted with any ally, less with Mexico.

....you are you trying to defend his actions ?

Yes high treason actually is specifically addressed in our Constitution.

though Nixon was a very thorough lawyer, they had allready sacked the VP AEStephenson. His administratioin [i believe] was the one who passed the law that allowed him to appoint his own VP , how's that for dottin your eyes and crossing your Ts.

It differs considerably from the penalties that apply if you have the misfortune of being in the employ of any branch of our Armed Forces.  Particularly when at War...
