Medical records

Primary doctor to prescribe it. If they wont you can find other doctors at different locations.

And money to pay for recommendation and state fees.

You need to have past medical records from the last two years or so documenting your medical condition.  If your regular doctor won't prescribe it for you, there are several MMJ specialists throughout the state that can give you a recommendation as long as you have your medical records.  The doctor visit is usually over $100.  It also costs $100 for your card which is good for two years.

Anxiety and depression are not currently qualifying conditions for MMMP approval.  You'd need to be able to show that treatment of your condition results in a qualifying condition....i.e. chronic pain and/or nausea.  In other words, if you take pills to combat your anxiety and these pills makes you nauseated, then you would probably qualify for MMJ.

That is essentially what it boiled down to for me. I have insomnia, I can't sleep. Indica strains do help me sleep (the coming down part anyway) however, insomnia is not a qualifying condition for marijuana.

Because I never sleep, I have physical effects (leg pain) I was prescribed MMJ due to the pain.

If MMJ actually does help you with anxiety, you may end up doing the same thing, but I'd recommend trying alternatives first. I went through every pill & therapy available to me for insomnia before I got marijuana.

Doctors generally see certain conditions like insomnia & depression as symptoms of other problems, to a large extent they probably ARE symptoms, be sure to explore this first.

My son got tested at every temp agency he  applied to, as well as every job involving a cash register, or customer service. I suppose house painting would be an option, for awhile. he never did get tested at the job, only as a prescreen.

Please note this is only the first step to acquiring your card. This doctor, if not your current primary care, needs to have a bona fide patient doctor relationship with you.....basically its more than one visit to the same doctor just like you would follow up with any other doc. You need at least one follow up to plan for as well, but ideally look for the doc you want to go back to through each registration period and it establishes the "relationship" that makes that recommendation stick if your med reasoning is appropriate. Good luck!
