Anyone Have Any Experiance With 1000Bulbs?

i ran across this company while looking for the best price i could find on two things..

1st - t5 HO bulbs for veg

2nd - 1000 watt magnetic ballast with parabolic hood.

 

i am shopping for best price above all... but i already use parabolic hoods and i like the spread of light they produce.  i had a digital 600 ballast burn out.. after only 3 years.. and then my reserve 400w digital burned out a week later.. so no more digital for me.. both my magnetic 1k's are still running smooth after nearly 3 years.. well 2 and a half anyways....

 

so now both stand by lights blew out and i need a replacement one... so i went shopping.. i am beyond broke right now so budget has become my primary concern...

 

after what seemed like many hours of research i found this site to have pretty good prices and haven't been able to find anything comparable as of yet..

 

tonight.. before i order anything i thought i would put it out there and see if the community has any ideas on this..

i already have a bulb so i am good to go there... although i have seen combination units with both bulbs included.. if i could find one somewhere close to the $150 i found the ballast and reflector for then i would consider it.

Those look like good prices... standard for the quality anyhow.

 

1000bulbs.com is perfectly fine and dandy. Used em a few times.  Caught a clearance sale on 1000WHPS Hortilux bulbs from them for $52 before. :-)  Spent my paycheck on em. :-)

 

Noticing your concern on your other ballasts burning out in short time, these low quality ballasts usually only have a 2 year warranty with them. They may say 5 sometimes,... but it is a partial 5 year, actual 2 year. You pay shipping etc.

 

 The good thing is... at $95 for a 1k,... I consider it disposable in that price range. 3 years at that price is cheap cheap cheap...

Yea me too! plus they give you a sticker and dube liter with a bottle opener on it with every order lol, , If I didnt get it on ebay I got it from htg, I have several magazines here of there equip, I found them to be the best price with no names mentioned, but if they give you a break mentioning a good customers name, I dont think you can go wrong, I wish they had stores closer to us than lansing, any how anything they ship comes from there main office out of state, but it gets here real quick,
