They Just Don't Care, If You Hate Your Job Quit!

Recommended Posts

So I have a illness I was born with that is is in line with a more recognizable name of hemophilia.. mine is a bit more rare and severe but along the same lines.. I bleed and don't clot. So I'm not supposed to take basically anything over the counter Motrin, aspirin NSAIDS.. things of that nature due to the fact they have a negative reaction to my disorder.. they make the blood even thinner than normal. and im far from normal..

So I did something not sure what to my knee its three times the size of the other, I had water on the knee before its a similar look and pain. anyway I feared to a internal bleed so gave myself a $20k home infusion to prevent internal bleeds. and went to the er. preparing for help.. these guys didn't even touch me took 2 xrays gave me a shot of something that hurt like no other he said muscle relaxer, but I don't know..He sent me home,  with still not checking my blood levels or even feeling or examining the effect possibly internal damage.. wrote me a script for 2 5 mg pain pills and a script that I'm allergic to ??????????

says write on the prescpition he wrote don't take if allergic to aspirin NSAIDS.. Says know allergies aspirin etc ect

I'm a bleeder, hospitals have no compassion.. I dispse going this is malpractice if you ask me or just plain lack of care ing... if your just going thru the motion unhappy and don't give a bunny muffin quit your job.don't make my crappy painful donkey day/life even worse, on top of that prescribe me something exactly the opposite of something that would help why I was there.

I know 100% there is something terribly wrong with my knee, its my body I KNOW IT BETTER THAN ANYONE, ssomething is def. wrong, So why would they just dismiss me like this and write me something like this?

This pic was days ago, at this point today you cannot see my kneecap all anymore and I have to lift my thigh area to move my leg up and down..and you just send me home once this week for back spasms at RO beaumont and was just giving a shot and sent home no interaction or images anything just a fkn dope shot and discharged, now my my second trip to a er this week for my knee and its the same ole same ole.. but this one could be dangerous..

What is the most important information I should know about Anaprox-DS (naproxen)?

You should not use naproxen if you have a history of allergic reaction to aspirin or other NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug)

I feel so bad for your experience, and wish you the best. Can you imagine how often this must happen, and what about the unsuspecting elderly?  Please hold them accountable for their malpractice if you can, this is sickening.

what causes the knee to swell like this(fluid I know, but why?)

After going through horrendous doctors/nurses with my mother's cancer, I can say I feel you pain.

I expected a lot more from the medical community. I thought that these people were the cream of the crop. I have seen uncleaned blood and all manner of bodily fluids lying on the floor in the surgery waiting room - while the nurses were loudly watching Maury. Doctors that could barely communicate in english, spotty med records and lost paperwork, and overworked/overtired staff. I always thought that last part was funny, overworking and long shifts are just a part of practicing medicine. Ironic because they, more than anyone, know exactly what that does to your body and abilities.

Of all the places I've been to, the University of Michigan health system was by far the best. It was SUCH a relief when I finally got my mother into that system. And it was NOT an easy thing to do, either.

Sorry to hear about your troubles :(

did you get the script filled? try to get it filled, i wonder if the pharmacist will catch it.

pharmacists catch some of these problems, especially if the computer does it for them.

e.g. doctors prescribe extra strength horse tranquilizers for a 6 month old baby. it happens all the time.

unfortunately, the medical malpractice law in michigan has been evicerated. theres basically nothing you can do to a doctor or healthcare worker. every case goes to a panel of doctors for approval / denial. also, the max you can get out of it is like $500,000. minus lawyer fees, what are you left with? nothing.

The Laws that protect Hospitals and Doc are unbelievable I've tried to sue them one time and trying to even fine a Lawyer to help do it is almost impossible

thats because the medical malpractice lawyers saw the change in law and fled to other states.

if you're a medical malpractice lawyer who can get $1mil or more , would you work in a state where its capped to $500k ? and theres caps on how much the lawyer can get (i think 30%?).

I have no patience to sit around and wait for rejection.. thats one of the main reasons that I quit the pain meds. I would see so many differant dr's  with referral after referal and they would allways change my scripts judge me etc.. I'm over it.. but this is/could be life threatning??????I told them I just gave myself a blood transfusion at home just before coming here.. tried to explain It should be high priority due to possible internal bleed yanno.. it took 1 1/2 hours before I was even called back..  30ish yr old doc didnt even touch me honestly he barely put both feet in the room, he basically stood in the doorway, and said he was getting xrays and a shot to relax me.. RELAX yeah right hurt like a beech and did nothing to "help" I don't know where to go??????????????????? I need a MRI not a freaking xray, not your stupid overpriced 5oomg vics ..I need help not your drugs!

Swear to god, I'm just laying here watching this happen cause I don't have a clue where to go now. everywhere I go the have my records and see I'm a real d1ck at times and had a addiction in the past so they just look at me like a young dope fien least thats how I feel.. life threating illness and I have so much anxiety, about rejection I would rather sit here and die... I honestly have to call my mommy to go with me or they just shut the door and treat me like a child..

I'm not sure why its so swollen.. water on the knee looked similar when I had that years ago, but this feels like a torn tendon or something super hot to the touch like a infection pains shooting around the kneecap like under it next to it my toes are freezing cold right now with socks on its just that foot my left is just fine and toasty.... I asked the DR. that same is it so swollen? I didnt get a answer worth remembering cause his azz didnt even come in the room far enough to give a honest answer worth listening to.. I know its not right I never should have been discharged like I was. I cannot walk cant straighten it out.. ehh sorry Im going to quit beeching

I should turn my cell phone on record and take it in to get filled.. its in plain English right on the prescription itself that I'm not to take anything like that..

Your 32 yrs old, you go into one of the best hospitals (supposedly) with a knee that looks like its ready to explode and they do nothing?  There is most def some kind of fluid on the knee that needs to come out (im not a dr)  dont they usualy stick something in there and drain it? or is it because of your ailment that is not recomended, I know when I get water in my ankles and feet I have been given pills to get rid of it, (sorry it hasnt happened in a long time so I dont remember the name of the script)

It just sounds so crazy, that you actualy feel the need to bring your mother so they will maybe take you serious, I most definatly was an addict to prescription medication, that they wrote for me month after month yr after yr, methadone and xanax a pretty deadly combo in itself if both are abused at the same time! and the dr.'s didnt know I was buying them on the street also!

The one thing I never did was call my dr. early for meds or call and say some one stole them, I waited till it was the time to refill or get a new script, as you know methadone cant be wrote with a refill, so you have to get your rx handed to you from the dr. or some one in the office, when I 1st got on methadone they were on a 3 page script, it was different than the other meds he wrote me,

I am so sorry to hear about your problems, I cant tell you how bad it makes me feel, and im sure there are many more out there just like you, who get screwed by the system, I dont do pain clinics, I never did and I have no use for them now, I use mm for my pain meds, I do have to do a couple of pills for my depression, my mm just dont do it, and after so many yrs of being disabled, I was getting pretty hard to live with!  so I had no choice, and it took a few try's but I have a real good mixture of meds for my depression and anxiety, I take one in the morning and than a different one at nite, some kind of booster pill, and I prob will have to take them untill all the kids move out lol!

Best of luck

Peace

phaq, your honesty is admiral, and I applaud your recovery. I know dads and moms, friends and family, that carry your past burdens daily still, with methadone in the mix. when did they start rxing for pain with methadone anyways? What would they give a heroin addict for pain I wonder?

like giving a nail biting hyper kid methamphetamine...hey wait a minute, they do that now too !!  we are fugged, good thing too, otherwise we'd be fighting tooth and nail against all these injustices in our world causing us to bite nails, get depressed, not heal, and be angry........could there be a solution?

Thanks Jim for your concern, thanks to all of you for that matter..

Really no joke, they just sent me home with nothing but a renewed disliking for Dr's... I'm sitting here staring a a fifth and I don't drink if I did I most def couldn't even attempt to drive to a hospital. I need something to control my pain and anxiety.. I wish it was still legal to have MM delivered or to be seen by a DR without Judgment..

Jim, the dr's are the ones that began my addiction long long ago.. I have had scripts of norco/lorcet since I have been in my teens.. around 19yrs old I was placed on fentanyl and oxy's.. and its my fault that I became dependent on opiates.. now its my fault, im the doper THEY effin prescribed the sheet I didn't walk in and say please get me hooked/dependent  on drugs..  anyways that way over a year ago since I have seen a Dr, Im allergic to NSAID's, Intolerable to motrin and aspirin due to my blood.. its opiates or bust basically so blah.. I just want to be able to walk and sleep.. I think I have slept maybe 1-4 hours going on 3 days

I'll figure it out, thanks everyone.

henryford eh? why not try oakwood or beaumont or dmc next time?

if you're wondering why it took an hour and a half to see you, its because you came in with a leg injury. legs are unimportant.

come in complaining about chest pains and watch the people   help you real quick! of course they will look at your heart and not your knee doh!

same thing happened with me, went into the doctor , he told me what i didnt have, then left. didnt explain to me what the hell was wrong at all. i asked him and he said he thinks its a problem with something. then offers me 'a shot' and runs away. the nurse comes in to give me the shot. bah.

doctors dont get paid to talk to you, they get paid to rush you out the door like some kind of mcdonalds customer.

lOL I swear I'm with you, and others when they give solid advise and suggestions.. I always seem to rebuttal back with "been there done that didn't work"

My http://www.hemophilia.org/NHFWeb/MainPgs/MainNHF.aspx?menuid=182&contentid=47&rptname=bleeding is only had by %2 of the population, I used to be treated before ANYONE in the ER when I was a child, then I grew up and yeah.. but My disorder is so severe that a internal bleed is common and can kill without even being seen..unless I vomit blood on a nurse..so I take cuts usually..

I do that because what is suggested has been tried and tested with negitive results.. Oakwood refused to treat me due to my MM use (medical records) R.O Beaumont has me blacklisted due to my outburst and threat of violence against their resident azzhole Dr D!CK was the phrase I used for him (escorted by dogs outside) I was in Troy Beaumont Tuesday I think for my back they just gave me a pain shot and sent me home said it wasn't worth setting up a IV and wasting my night to come to the same results they already had my back is toast awaiting surgery.. I'm downriver So Troy Beaumont is out of the question way to far of a drive.. Henery ford out here was the only one I could stand driving to and Ive stated their outcome.. I forgot to mention the Henry Ford Detroit Campus downtown refused to treat with any medication due MM as well.. all though Im not there for medication Im there for help.. relief is "help" but surely they aren't cutting me without a form of anesthesia so Bah hum bug.. The hospitals are why people use street drugs, most know I say it alot heroin has killed every kid I knew growing up.. pain pills equals the start of dependance, then they cut you off cause they have made you develop a addictive habit then they buy off the street then they die..

Edited to add:I forgot DMC they refused me due my dropping dirty for MM as well all in my records I have burned all my bridges

So every day I read more and more about dispensaries, and government this and that.. LEOs hate this law due to lack of funding stemming from Marijuana arrests..

I was theorizing this morning with a buddy of mine..

I can see it now, the Government run dispensaries will cancel out our rights to grow our own, which in turn will put a halt to the "legal home grow" That will satisfy LEO cause they will now be able to raid each suspected home that has a grow and seize all the equipment and still get to charge you with a cannabis related charge. seems to be looking up for the big guys imo..

They get to corner the MM market, and seeing as it wont be legal to grow your own anymore they know 40-60% of people have involvement in growing they have a huge new group of Marijuana users to target to hit their quota.. I'm not excited about the future at all

All this belly aching about your precious dispensaries is going to ruin everything for alot of people that just want to get by and not have to go through another fiasco run by the government the same people that have no idea wtf is good or bad.. its all about the money $$

Is it REALLLLLLY that hard to find some herb, the stuff thats been around since the beginning of freaking time?? Can't they setup a web based program that makes it easy like a click of the button kind of stuff for the real square/newbie. Kinda like buying insurance you have a site setup with CG's the new pt goes through finds your ad that fits what your looking for and move along????

Sorry my rant is out of frustration, I just have this nasty feeling that the police and suits will get their way.. and Marijuana arrests will be here to stay.. legal or not.

Medical Marijuana Using Canadian Mountie Under Fire
A Canadian Mounted Police Officer who is also a medical marijuana patient is under fire from anti-marijuana activists who believe he should not be able to keep his job.

Corporal Ronald Francis began using medical marijuana on November 4 for job-related stress.

Francis believes he should be allowed to smoke medical marijuana while in uniform, but his superiors believe that smoking medical marijuana could tarnish the mounted police’s reputation.

Cannabis advocates are arguing that employers, including the RCMP, need to better understand medical marijuana and their employees medical needs.

RCMP Deputy Commissioner Gilles Moreau explained to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that officers are allowed to use medical marijuana but they should not do it in public or while in uniform.

“Definitely a member that has been prescribed medicinal marijuana should not be in red serge taking his medication,” Moreau was quoted as saying. ”It would not be advisable for that member, it would not portray the right message to the general public, it’s definitely not something we would support or condone.”

Francis is currently assigned to desk duty and does not carry a gun.

UK Police Find $1 Million of Marijuana in Nuclear Bunker

On Wednesday morning, UK police made a huge raid at a large, well-equipped marijuana growing operation in the Drakelow Tunnels, which were used as a nuclear bunker for government officials in the 1950s in case of a nuclear attack.
The grow was underneath the English town of Kidderminster.

A total of 400 marijuana plans were discovered, estimated to be worth just over $1 million.  The factory had hydroponic equipment, heating, lighting, and ventilation fans.

The operation utilized 30 police officers and K9 units.

Kevin Purcell, Norther Worcestershire Superintendent, explained, “While executing the warrant at Drakelow Tunnels, we discovered a large and sophisticated cannabis growing operation.

Although the plants will need to be tested, it would appear that the seizure has prevented a large quantity of illegal drugs ending up on the street.”

The raid was part of a new three-year anti-drug strategy being implemented in the UK.  Local police began implementing the plan in September, looking to eliminate large illegal substance distributors.
Cannabis remains the most seized illegal drug in England.

According to Home Office statistics, 12,267 kilograms of marijuana and 507,401 cannabis plants were confiscated by the police and border service last year.

New York to Hold Medical Marijuana Hearings
In December, the state of New York will hold public hearings in Buffalo and Mineola on legalizing marijuana for medical purposes.  The hearings are part of lawmaker efforts to get voters on board with the idea of legalizing medical marijuana.

A bill proposed by Senator Diane Savino and Assemblyman Richard Gottfriend would regulate the sales and dispensing of medical marijuana.  Under their proposal, physicians licensed to prescribe controlled substances could certify patients to use medical marijuana.

Those patients would register with the state’s Department of Health before being able to access their medication.  Medical marijuana would be dispensed through hospitals, pharmacies, or other not-for-profit organizations.

The hearings are sponsored by the New York State Assembly. They are scheduled for 10 a.m., Dec. 5, Buffalo City Hall; and 10 a.m., Dec. 18, Nassau County Legislative Chambers.

Denver City Council Votes Against Marijuana in Public View on Private Property

On Monday night, the Denver, Co. City Council voted to approve an ordinance that would ban people from using marijuana in a private yard or on a balcony if the users could be seen from a street or a sidewalk.  This could keep people from smoking marijuana on their front porch or in a backyard that is not surrounded by fencing.  The measure was passed on first reading with a 7-5 vote.

“Everyone up here tonight is going to make some enemies,” Councilman Charlie Brown told his colleagues.

While outspoken on the need to regulate marijuana, Brown said: “I can’t support it. I believe in individual private property rights.”

One opponent of the ordinance told the council, “I would rather see police going after serious drug problems than playing security patrol for the Stepford wives.”

On the other side of the issue, a parent argued that allowing residents to smoke pot in their front yards “undermines our conversations with our children by making it appear OK.”

Many marijuana advocates believe the ordinance is hypocritical given that individuals can smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol in public view on their private property, which could also send the message that those actions are “OK”.

Mason Tvert, head of the City Council’s Amendment 64 Committee, said that “there’s no reason to put into place a virtually unenforceable law.”  Tvert believes that the issue should be handled by individual communities through homeowner association rules or nuisance abatement laws.

The council will hold the second vote on this matter next Monday.  It is expected that it will pass again.
