Marijuana Falls From The Sky in San Diego

 

 

It’s raining weed in San Diego.  Well, sort of.  Early Monday morning, bundles of marijuana fell from the sky over San Diego as part of an airdrop from a plane that originated in Mexico.

 

260 pounds of marijuana were attached to an ultra-light aircraft and dropped off near Brown Field Airport, two miles north of the US-Mexico border, just after 4:15 AM on Monday.

 

Federal agents quickly recognized the air drop and found the delivery.  Two individuals were taken into custody– one an illegal immigrant and one a legal permanent resident of the United States.

 

According to officials, the marijuana that was seized is worth almost $160,000.
