Best Strains?

Wild Bill

Recommended Posts

I have always used Indica dominant strains for relief of muscle spasms and found them to be quite effective.

Recently though I tried a pure Sativa strain (Nepalese) in brownies and got more relief from that than I ever have from Indicas.

What strains have you folks found most effective for spasms?

Honestly, I suffer with some pretty severe spasms.. I haven't found any real strains that help with mine enough to brag about.

So this thread will be benefical to follow. Look forward to hearing what works, so I can find some of it!

Thanks for posting WB..

How about a little benedryl on the side as a muscle relaxer, to help ease some of the tension, possibly?

Heating pad seems to help a little when my hands start cramping up.

I also swear by Gatorade, for cramping, muscle spasms, etc.

Maybe somewhat psychological, it doesn't work right away, but I think it helps...

that's the thing, those sativa brownies would send some into cardiac arrest, others to bed for days. This is exactly the reason we grow so many varieties for patients. Each experience seems unique to one's personal chemotype. I've been working for years attempting to profile chemotypes to better suit patients. The list will more than likely look like a wish list of terpene profiles matching specific requests. Once lab tested terpene profiles can be provided for the samples given. These terpenes can be individually extracted, even by vaporization, if accurately matched to the precise temps needed to vaporize, with each being a different temp needed.

We've got so much accidental breeding today that trying to say Lemon Skunk is the key to migraines may not be so accurate, without first a verification of strain integrity. Like human dna cannabis dna can also be traced to origins. Many have been mapped and identified already for comparison. I can attest that the Las Vegas Lemon cut is indeed the migraine winner, if interested, at least in my anecdotal experiences.

Smoking any strain that I have tried in my oh _ _ years of cannabis use will

not suffice in and of itself for relief of my symptoms.

I find that a combination of orally ingested & topical methods have worked

best for me.

Most often however, I do not know what strains are in the 'medibles', glycerines,

concentrates, or salves unless I make them myself and then it may be a toss up,

as

Like you said grassmatch, there is accidental breeding going on so...

It sounds like you are deficient in Magnesium, which can be hard on your heart in addition to all of your muscles. Try soaking in Epsom Salts and add eat more Nuts, Seeds, Beans and Leafy Greens. Also, take 100 mg every day if possible. I suspect the RDA for magnesium will be raised in the next decade...the current RDA is way too low for the average American.

This guy thinks that Cannabis and Magnesium are a magic combination.....http://drsircus.com/medicine/medical-marijuana/medical-marijuana

Look at some of our patients and the answers become even harder to dissect. I can have one patient get complete relief from a strain and another patient gets no relief at all. It even confuses me sometimes and I have been helping people as a caregiver for 3yrs. I have learned not to brag to much about a strain that helps a patient like magic because it may not help others at all. Not complaining just pointing out that everybody is complex so I agree that someday soon someone is going to find the key to helping every patient relieve muscle spasms.

Tylenol doesn't end pain for many users for thought.

try this , it works wonderfully to help you sleep and for restless legs

A to B calm , if you are not familiar with it , this is an old school calcium magnesium powder , it has been specially blended in a vinegar base .

You mix it in a cup of hot water then drink , it has very little to almost no taste

I buy mine thru Swanson vitamins
