Friendly Police Visit?

No, but I do know of three visits. one went not so well just two days after a local club was raided, and the records of those who supplied the club were taken.

the other two were actually entertaining with police commenting on the quality of buds, and the cleanliness of the "operation" indoors.

the other was to remind one of our local outdoor growers he'd have to put a top on his dog kennel mock up last year. His grow is only 25 feet from a busy road, next to his house. he's often out there in his pajamas snipping and gathering through the summer. no trouble with his trees though, and they are huge  and visible

You get a visit?

Huh, you're saying they smelled a vape? Or did you burn some in there? Prolly tried to confiscate your vape even tho you had your card. Heard stories about Indian Casino motels not being a friendly zone.

I was smoking it when they opened the door, it was in my mouth when they came in lol!

I thought it was my drunk old lady finaly done making an arse out of herself at the bar, so naturaly when I heard the key card I didnt do anything I thought it was her, and no they didnt take anything from me, they even wanted me to open my safe that is supplyed by the room, I told them NO you need a warrant for that!  They said no they dont, I said than go get hotel management to open it because I am not w/o a warrant!  cya wouldnt wanna be ya!

Stand Your ground brother, if their gonna take ya down make em earn it!

Peace

There have been many instances of LEO doing a knock and ask and leaving with no further issues but in no way will I allow any officer of the law into my house without a warrant I know my rights as should anyone with a grow some say what is the problem with showing them your grow if your within the law ?

There are instances where law enforcement took everything and never charged the grower that's why you just don't let them in your home if your within the law because  you  never know what is  on  the officer at your doors mind  will he follow the letter of the law or just do whatever he can to disrupt your life because they are anti cannabis ?

You are all correct, and you're all incorrect. I have been pulled over for no reason and let go with marijuana on me. I have been raided 4 times. They have come, searched, and left, They have come with warrants, come without warrants, and they ALMOST always win. Think they need a warrant? Not according to our Supreme Court..at least it doesn't need a signature, stamp or date...

I'd chalk this up to a "friendly" police visit, tho they weren't at my apartment on a marijuana related complaint....

Former roommate of mine was growing (carded) and we had a few officers show up on our doorstep one evening looking for me. (family related drama) I happened to be running some errands when they showed up but were still present when I returned and yes, my behind kept driving when I saw what was in the driveway!! Anyhow, once the coast was clear so to speak, I returned home and the roomie filled me in.

The officers astutely noticed that we had marijuana paraphenalia on our coffee table so they started to ask questions. Roommate shared that he grew, cops asked to see it and he allowed it. They left and we never heard from em again, marijuana related or otherwise. I did, however, give the roommate an earful about letting the cops into both the house and his grow. (Understandably, he was of the mind that being legal/compliant and not wanting to anger the cops or give em any reason to further mess with us, etc.)

Definitely speaking from experience. I hope they're all through with you now.

Maybe they can concentrate their efforts on thieves and murderers instead. (Oh wait! That might be dangerous!)

Was it a club, or a dispensary?  Most clubs that I know of, don't sell anything, unless they're fund-raising.  Anybody here ever belong to a club in school?  Did you sell stuff?  For example the chess club doesn't sell chess sets.   We need to start getting our nomenclature correct and start calling things what they are instyead of using the the words that these owners are using to hide the true nature of their businesses.   If they're selling MMJ they aren't a club.

Several of these types of places call themselves clubs, while they facilitate illegal transfer, according to news raid stories on google. Semantics won't save any if they are involved in crime.  All over the country self described "Clubs" are open where people can buy and use medical marijuana. It won be a few thousand posters online that change their naming scheme I think. Anyone here wishing to open a place like that will be quickly spanked, before they have a chance to name it.

Like "hey you're paying for the lighter and papers, the smoke is free man", or "theres only a gram of cannabis in those cookies"...some things just wont fly.

 example;

Mid-Michigan Compassion Club.

It’s a small, nondescript business on Leonard Street NW, just a few blocks west of Alpine Avenue. There, registered medical marijuana patients can go with registered caregivers to get small amounts of marijuana for $10 a gram.

Its sad they hide behind the Act, but its fact that regardless of their name, they would not be open if people were not supporting the illegal activity there.

Some "clubs" didn't sell cannabis at all, but rented boxes and rooms out where others could break the laws.  A club facilitating the illegal transfer is still a club I'd say, until they have a counter top with gear beneath. Words like "Pot" and "Weed" might just be some more stereotypes that keep us down.

I've been to a club where there was no marijuana use, no talk of hook ups, and nothing for sale. patients were able to find cg's, and info was shared. I've been to the other kind also, and hear of more right here.

specifically, this "club" required club fees, just to buy illegal marijuana from them, geesh, the politics.

yet, they had lines of good law abiding folks, supporting the illegal activity 7 days a week, into the dark even.

so, why do they exist? who's the bad guys there?   how do they get financial support for their activities?

who's fault ?
