bobandtorey Posted January 11, 2014 Report Share Posted January 11, 2014 ADRIAN An operator of a now-closed medical marijuana dispensary in downtown Adrian pleaded guilty Wednesday in Lenawee County Circuit Court to a reduced charge of attempted conspiracy to illegally sell the drug. David Allan Forys, 33, of Ypsilanti, is to return Feb. 21 for sentencing. He faces up to a two-year prison term. Forys said his business facilitated patient-to-patient sales of medical marijuana which became illegal early last year. He was charged in October with violating the state’s medical marijuana law. “We shut down after that,” he told Judge Margaret M.S. Noe. He had faced 10 felony charges of marijuana delivery and conspiracy carrying up to an eight-year prison term.
