I saw a doc last night and got the paperwork signed off.

The whole thing was just a money grab.  Its somewhat obvious Im disabled (walk with limp).  Doc sees me and medical papers, then immediately signs off..

Then the secretary whisks me outta the room before I can ask questions about the law and obtaining meds.

Doc must of seen over 20 patients an hour.  $60 a patient so $1200 and hour he is making.

Told you not to get it 'signed off'. Now you wasted your time and money. If you have to go to court, all what you just posted will come out and your card will be flimsy. When I see my cannabis specialist, even after years with the same one, he always takes his time and does a thorough examination. That is what stands up in court.

my medical needs are obvious and is well documented.

I wanted to see a real doc but was in a rush to get the paperwork.  I am a patient in need of medicine.  The sooner I get my meds the better.  Now I have to wait 3weeks.

Personally, I think cannabis edible meds, should be available over the counter to adults.  Even if a kid eats it, they wont get sick and die.  Tylenol is very toxic and theres no restriction in getting it.  Kids get sick from eating too many childrens vitamins, eating it like candy.

This is what bugs me the most about medical marijuana.  It has to jump through ridiculous needless hoops, whereas many otc meds are highly toxic and their sold without restriction.

no, I do not care to narc out the doc.  Quickest cheapest doc I could find.

Most patients in the waiting room appeared to have some sort of physical disability.  The younger healthy looking patients appeared to have some kind of mental illness (PTSD?).  It could be seen in the eyes, like the proverbial "thousand yard stare".  Overall, it looked very similar to the waiting room of a opiate pain doctor.

I was interested in info about the laws, different strains, and obtaining the meds.

They didn't have time for that.  To be fair, most docs Ive seen don't really interact with the patient.  Theyre in it for the money and prescribe pills that give them kickbacks

was the waiting room what you expected?

i expected to see a bunch of pot smoking kid stereotypes, but when i first went to get certified i found a room full of middle aged adults with plenty of injuries.

as for asking a doctor about finding the right strains or talking about laws, do you think a doctor would know that?

i mean, most doctors have no marijuana training. laws? ask a lawyer.

try leafly.com for strain info, although its not great.

its funny, most people would expect a bunch of college kids looking for an excuse to get stoned legally.  It was a mixture of adults from young to very old.

yes, I would expect a few basic suggestions by the doc.  Maybe a printed copy of  answers to frequently asked questions.

I gave him $60 to look my form and medical record and sign off on it.  I gained zero information about medical marijuana in Michigan.

This is what bothers me the most about medical marijuana.  Its just a money grab and its not 100% legal

The way you did it is anyway. The way I did it was to get 3 years of medical records that were bulletproof and then see a real cannabis specialist that could back me up in court. Some of us are real deal medical cannabis patients and we take this very seriously. I bet you couldn't tell the difference seeing us on the street though. Just know we are out there in large numbers in Michigan. That should make you feel better about Medical Marijuana in Michigan.

I am a real deal patient.  I wouldn't go through the hassle of time and money if I wasn't.  The reality is, the mmmp laws aren't being properly implemented by state officials.

The state attorney vows to fight medical marijuana and dispensaries.  Who crowned that donkey rectum king of Michigan?  A sick person doesn't need challenges getting meds.  Do you look over your shoulder driving home from the pharmacy with anti-biotics.  Is there any paranoia over a potential drug bust?

They did this crap in AZ when they legalized medical marijuana in the 90's.  Voters wanted mmj, but the governer refused to implement it.  People couldn't get their cards and that was that.  In the 2000's voters passed a law that the government couldn't override the voters.

Are you 100% legal R2?  Do you consume cannabis and never drive?  Are you following all the laws 100%?

My point is, other medications don't have the same redtape as cannabis.
