bobandtorey Posted February 7, 2014 Report Share Posted February 7, 2014 TROY, Mich. - A Troy police officer was arrested for allegedly drinking and driving in the community where she works. Candace Rushton, 34, is denying she was drunk when she was pulled over at East Big Beaver and Rochester Road while off-duty on Jan. 18. She was driving a pickup truck that other officers say struck the curb, drove up on the median and then stopped. Rushton refused a breathalyzer test and a search warrant was obtained for a blood draw. The blood sample showed a 0.27 blood alcohol content.
