Humanizing The Medical Marijuana Debate: Do You Have A Story To Tell?

Oh do we ever have a story, or two!

JACKSON, MI – A quick Internet search for medical marijuana in Michigan brings with it thousands of articles.

A vast majority are about the controversial law passed in 2008 and its drudge through the state court system. Some are about medical marijuana dispensaries, and still others point to the number of people who have applied for medical marijuana cards year after year.

But what of the people who are medical marijuana cardholders, using or growing the drug for their benefit?

Articles profiling medical marijuana caregivers and patients in Jackson County are few and far between. The people most affected – those that have a stake in the implementation of the law – often are invisible.

Do you, or someone you know, have a medical marijuana card as either a patient or caregiver in the Jackson area? The Jackson Citizen Patriot would like to hear your firsthand accounts for an upcoming series of stories humanizing the medical marijuana debate.
