I realy dont under stand the pointe, my throat dont get no dryer vaping than a bowl or joint.  But I will try so I can vote lol!

I dont know if any of you have the easy vapes, the little cheap ones ($40) but after mine gets to the temp I want, I turn it upside down, that way when i put the whip on,  it isnt pointing down, it is even and the ground mm is not able to touch the glass element and not get burned at all!

but any hoo, I will give it a try!

Peace

The concept is sound, but the method could use some work;

Put a piece of orange peel in the jar with the buds. Keep the jar in a cool place.

 Thought I'd offer something for those who are considering adding some moisture to their medicine, for whatever reason. This tip is intended more for those new to this, not the seasoned pros here.  If you use an orange peel, apple slice, etc., it should be used sparingly and watched closely as anything like that will develop mold after a time.  A solution I've tried a few times is a guitar humidifier.  It's a small round container with a pop-off lid, two holes in the top, and contains a clay-like material that will absorb and hold moisture for quite a while.  The particular brand I use is "Herco".

We've found the best method for softening up buds is to add a fresh fan leaf to your storage container.  It has just enough water in it to soften up dry buds, but not enough to cause mold.  I would stay away from anything like apple or orange unless you are going to put it in for an hour (or less) and then promptly remove it.  I'd rather smoke/vape buds that are too dry than take a chance on turning my stash moldy (been there, done that, got the t-shirt and the cap).

I've tried that before, and thought it was eeewy. I saw no advantages, and bummed out on the vapor. I have however used a personal water vaporizer (think small hand held face mask pump thingy) while smoking a joint/pipe, and did find that comforting. If a user can tolerate the changes in the hit , the twofer water and bud in the vape at the same time seems logical.

On a related note any water present in a medical nebulizer, while charged with cannabis oil, is also "eeewy", for similar reasons maybe, dunno.

Why "eeeeeew". Tell us why introducing water is "eeewy"

I don't understand. This isn't an insult to you. It is an admission that I don't understand this matter. I have a hard time understanding why a drop of water is "eeeewwwy". Water is pretty clean. So I'm a bit lost as to why using water is eeeewwwy.

no insult taken friend. It's eeewy, because I thought it was eeewy.  eeewy is subjective I imagine, and may have differing meanings. I also thinks its eewy to add most things to your finished bud before smoking it, even to add humidity- Flavorings, water, fruit bits, tobacco.=eewy

I've decided it is not eewy to add oil, concentrates, or kief to your bud before vaporizing or smoking it. :hair:

the whip or dome type vapes run hot. bag vapes give the air a chance to cool. sure drink water while vaping, but try breathing regular air in along with your vape hit that shld help some. digital vapes allow you to dial in temp LOW, like 240. if your throat hurts vape less for a few days, supplement w capsules or alternative until throat recovers. also consider a new vape, not adding water. heat is more the issue than dryness.

sidenote- a small amount of residual 'synthetic nutes' (radioactive?) made my throat burn. now with organics it doesn't seem to anylonger be an issue.
