C02 Vs Qwiso Thread

Recommended Posts

How so? I have no affliation with any brands mentioned. I did not mention any location to purchase any product. I only mentioned the brand names so people could google the products if they wanted too.

It would have been nice to get an answer to the final question I posted to GrowGoddes before the thread was deleted.

QWISO is just thick hash oil, it has some plant material in it, nothing new. If you are worried about residual alcohol in it then put it in the oven at 200 F and see if any boils off.

The thinned out stuff you were buying at the dispensary for your pen could be thinned down with just about anything.

Feel free to continue the discussion of cannabis oil sans brand names and links, if you wish.

Thank you for reposting my question.

It is a shame though that we are not allowed to talk about the product names or brands.

There are few outlets to discuss these matters. I assumed that this forum was a good place to ask questions and share information on such products.

Our market is maturing rapidly. If a patient has comments on one prodcut and how it compares to another product, the conversation will be limited if we are not allowed to mention the product or to provide a link for further infomation.

Every chemical extract can be performed safely with the right equipment. The key is matching polarity to the intended botanical ingredient wished to be extracted.  As long as the active ingredient is extracted, and the solvent is removed, and the temperatures remain within parameters, the end result will be good. Some solvents will extract other present compounds, some desired, some not. All undesired compounds can be further separated from the desired ones. hope that helps.

I figured that anyone with a $$$$c02 machine and permits, approved place to operate, probably would not risk the loss resulting from an illegal sale.

You are correct I have not. But that is differant story than we have been discussing.

I did not release any new info. These companies professionly package and market thier products and advertise on facebook, twitter and on thier webpages.

If talk of such products is verboten on this board I will comply. But I do feel that is a mistake. There are few avenues for patients to have legitimate conversations on such matters.

There's no way to nail down quality or purity in these snake oil style marketing campaigns. There could be just about anything in it.

Agreed, which is why my original post included a link to a lab that shall not be named that tested the oil that shall not be named.

What were the lab results? It's all illegal activity right now, selling and testing, so Zap might have been doing someone a favor.

He might be and I understand and respect that.

That being said if anyone were to google michigan marijuana labs michigan you will see several.

The one I was asked not to mention or link to clearly posts addresses, names and phone numbers of the people involved so I do not think it is a big secret.

The results for the brand I prefer were clean with potency between 45-65 percent cannabinoids.

Enough marketing already! Just give us the supposed test results for the fun of it.

I linked to the results and it was deleted.

But if one were to google "medical marijuana testing michigan" and clicked on the second search result you will find a wealth of testing information.

The thread where I had posted questions about CLiquid QWISO vs C02 oil appears to be gone.

Was it deleted, if so was there a reason?

I am pretty sure it was deleted because it lead to places where it could be purchased from other states and potentially mailed to michigan. That could get a Michigander in a lot of trouble with the government. Patients are protected on acquiring marijuana up to 2.5 ounces, but they are not protected from purchases made out of state, especially through the mail. That is all federal, crossing borders and utilizing the mail.

I don't believe they don't want us to discuss, it is more of a protection factor for all.

I can fully see the assumption of spam, it can get out of hand. I battle spam on my YouTube account, people trying to sell oils and buds, all from out of state. Even doctors spamming on my videos!

Since last year the court of appeals deemed concentrates illegal. We are just waiting for our politicians to do their job and vote on a bill that may reverse that opinion. Not to mention certain counties here in Michigan don't care about the MMA. They are still prosecuting patients and caregivers even though they are fully legal. Some people are facing 5 to life and they were running legal grows. At least that is their side of the story and I believe most of them.

If there were solvent left in the oil, it will naturally evaporate away. I have some right now. It is like glass candy in my measuring cup. I am referring to 99% isopropyl and 190 proof or higher grain alcohol. I cannot speak for other solvents in regards to evaporating and purging.
