New Caregiver Questions

example:

I grow 12 plants. I harvest two plants, clone two plants. My harvested plants are finely trimmed of excess sticks and vegetable material. The finished harvest is a pile of buds in a drying rack in a drying closet, I can see the scale, and make sure it weighs no more than 10oz wet. when it gets to 2.5 oz, its ready to use, usually in a week or so with proper controls. I am legal all the time. Remember if nobody knows, then nobody knows right. keep it that way for a stress free experience.

the answer is nobody knows for certain.

some school of thought is to keep drying plants whole , including roots.

there are various cases which have gone to various courts.

cops break off a branch and call it another plant. even one leaf can be a plant.

just dont tell anyone you grow, never open the door, never talk to police without a lawyer, make sure you have a good relationship with your doctor, or your patient has a good relationship with his/her doctor.

During the research i have done, I have come to the understanding that a plant is not a plant if it does not have roots!! Also USABLE marijuana is not usable if it is still attached to the stem!! If someone has info to contradict this please share.

I do have a question i cant seem to find an answer to tho: I know that a patient can only have in their possession at any given time 2.5 ounces of useable marijuana but is there a limit on how much a caregiver can give to their patient over any given time.. i.e..per month?

A caregiver's conduct with medical MJ must be for the purposes of alleviating the CG's patient's debilitating condition.  So as long as the meds are for the purpose of alleviating that patient's condition, there is no limit.  In other words, if you're providing the same patient 2.5oz per week and don't have anything to back up that the patient needs that much, you may have a problem.  We have already seen some court cases where the ruling indicates that the CG must be familiar with the patient's condition and how much is needed to treat it.

That i understand but who determines how much a patient needs to relieve or treat there medical condition?

The patient. Cannabis is self titrating. We use enough to get relief. There is are no dosing standards, but instead there are substantial differences between individuals, to include tolerance to the drug and the nature of the condition it is intended to treat.

If you cut up your finished plant and its drying then the parts don't count towards your plant count total. It may or may not count towards your allowable weight of usable meds.  If you cut up your plant to make clones then you have intent to make plants and some leo will count that towards your total roots or not.  Of course thats my opinion and I am not a judge on the COA or a member of the Supremes.

can you link to some of those cases ? I hear a lot of this crap online too, but nobody ever provides the case. starting to sound hokey to me. A court would know the difference, not to say a cop would care to differentiate though, and proceed with an arrest. Most often a cop doesn't even know a grower is over count or over weight, until they fug up in a public way. Strange how they often find that a little illegality in public, turns into a big one at the garden....

Sorry i have to disagree with No

As Mr.T-pain has said their have been cases that people have been charged for to many plants because of hanging branches up and Leo counting each branch as a plant
