Well I guess I will kick this baby off............... I want to say a big thank you to all the vets out there (including myself). I know none of us hear it enough but everything is owed to the vets of this country. I want you all to know that you are appreciated way more than you know......................

I know this is probably not what this forum is for but felt it necessary to post it here. Thanx for the new forum.

Thank you Ozz

as a Desert Storm vet I appreciate the appreciation.

when i served little did i know i was joining a life long brotherhood.

I went in the Army for lack of a better plan after high school.  mom and dad wanted me to go to college but even tho I may have had the aptitude for school i definitely did not have the desire or the motivation for it.

I wanted to "see the world"

be careful what you wish for :)

i had already finished my active duty obligation and i was a civilian again, part of the inactive ready reserves for almost 3 months when i got recalled for service in support of operation Desert Storm...

talk about a buzz kill...

all of a sudden all the training was about to become very real.

it was a lesson in life that continues to provide me with feedback and experiences still to this day.

I also would like to say Thank You to everyone who served in the Military

I appreciate your help defending our rights and responsibilities as Americans.

Thank you to ALL who served from the Revolutionary War to present day!

In 1983 I was a young 17 and off to basic training. Unfortunately, a year later I was an up and coming 18-19 year old young man, a Military Police all set to head to Germany and I got a DUI off post. No Germany, no college fund, and back home with an Honorable Discharge after 16 months. I am a vet but have a hard time accepting thanks for my service. I wish I had been a little more mature or wise and served my country better.

By The Way, I have been alcohol free since 8/19/92.

I am rambling, sorry.

THANK YOU ALL WHO SERVED!

Thank you also for being honest in your story i'am sure there our many more just like you

When i talk about cannabis to others i tell them i am not so much for legalizing cannabis as i am about the War on it that takes young people and tears them up before they get a chance in life for using cannabis

A Heart felt Thank You to all vets and active military!

I so feel for many of you, with these latest wars these vets are going to be the amputee generation, it is very sad, our military doesnt go after citizens of the countrys we fight, we go after there infastructure and when we are done we fix it, all of the other countrys as of late dont care who they kill as long as they are american and non muslim!

Thank you to all the Vets and their family's

Peace

Jim
