This looks like bipolar disorder. That he was manic is plain, That he suffered depression is clear. The extremes of both are more intense than in the normal population, and result from neurological conditions that cannot be readily controlled except with medication, if at all. It is truly sad that the general population cannot experience or even comprehend the exultant highs. That they cannot likewise experience the lows is a great blessing.

They have been showing his movie, "Whatever Dreams May Come" on HBO this month.

Its a movie about the afterlife, where he tries to rescue his suicide wife who is in her own personal hell.

Strange days indeed.....

We also know that the use of narcotics (Robin had a well known cocaine addiction he kicked) and alcohol can alter brain function and if you already have a neurological disorder those added factors just compound the problem.

Maybe some good will come from this tragedy and America as a whole will stop shamming mental illness and recognize it's treatable in most cases with therapy without using psychotropic drugs.

He lives on in the minds of we bipolar freaks. The fun we have with that is incredible. and we are sooo sad there are so many who cannot understand and appreciate it.
