Drama Brewing Around Medical Marijuana Bills In Final Days Of 'lame Duck'

Drama?  I never noticed..............

LANSING — With a little less than 48 hours remaining in the legislative session, Michigan law enforcement and public health officials expressed concern about two medical marijuana bills they say are being rushed through the Legislature.

In a Wednesday morning press briefing, the executive directors of the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police, Michigan Sheriff’s Association and Michigan Association for Local Public Health urged Michigan senators not to pass House Bills5104 and 4271.

This "being rushed through the Senate" idea is a ploy by the prohibitionists to get public opinion on their side. They want the public to believe that these bills were just cooked up and then sent to the Senate to be ramrodded through in a lame duck session.

This, of course, couldn't be further from the truth, but then again all's fair in love and war, right? Especially when it involves our trustworthy, stalwart, always truthful public servants. What a joke these people have become.

I just have a outdated view of what the police represent in our society. It is a holdover from pre- Dirty Harry days when cops were good people. Now they are Dirty Harry on steroids.
