The Muskegon Co Pd said in the original airing of the story a driver can't have any cannabis in their system. Now the interview has been chopped down to can't drive under the influence of... slipstar059
Ronna-Lifer.jpg Ronna Lifer Muskegon County Jail MUSKEGON, MI - The second driver who allegedly struck a man Saturday night on Apple Avenue has been charged with driving while intoxicated on controlled substances, causing serious injury. Ronna Lifer, 33, of Muskegon Township was arraigned Monday, Feb. 2, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing serious injury, a maximum five-year felony. She posted a cash or surety bond of $10,000 and was scheduled for a preliminary hearing 1:30 p.m. Feb. 19. The victim, Rory Deshawn Robinson, 28, of Muskegon died of his injuries. It's not yet clear if the fatal injuries were caused by the first vehicle that struck him or the second, according to Muskegon County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Timothy M. Maat. The arrest warrant accuses Lifer of driving under the influence of a "controlled substance." Maat said authorities allege she was driving under the influence of marijuana and prescribed medications. RELATED: Police seek older-model Chevy truck in hit-and-run According to earlier information released by the Muskegon Police Department, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Apple and Stevens Street shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, and found Robinson lying in the road with "serious, life-threatening injuries." Robinson is believed to have been knocked to the ground by the first vehicle and then struck by Lifer's vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle had fled the scene, police said. The driver of the second vehicle, now identified as Lifer, reported the incident and spoke to police. The driver of the first vehicle has not yet been identified, police said. As of late Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 3, police were still looking for the first vehicle that struck Robinson. Police are looking for a 1994-2000 year Chevrolet Tahoe, suburban or truck. It wasn't immediately clear what color the vehicle is. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Muskegon Police Department as 231-724-6750 or Silent Observer at 231-722-7463. phaquetoo
wow alot of people get 6 norco's a day for pain, depending on what is causing that paink, I was on methadone 10 mg 4 times a day for pain, and when I used mm it most def made me feel it better than most who were not on an rx, it just sucks that this lady did what she was supposed to do no matter what the outcome may be for her, ,she did the right thing and stopped and called the law, they should not blame mm more than the opoids, I dont beleive it was only mm that caused this, plus I wasnt there, I dont know what the road or weather conditions were, what I do know is this lady stopped and had some common sense going on, now when they do find the other driver, they wont be able to test to see if that person was on rx's on alcohol or nothing, I would vote for the person being on something or they would have stopped, accidents do happen, I wouldnt run over some one and leave no matter what the circumstance was, if I hit a deer and didnt have a liscense im out of their, but a human come on, I would take my licks and hope I could help the person, had they stopped they may have been able to avoid the 2nd car from running the poor guy over! At least our mm pt stopped and reported the accident, right there means more to me than anything the other driver can come up with! I feel horrible for this persons family it is tragic! outsideinthecold
Spending on snow removal and sidewalk clearing continue to be short-changed in favor of pointless prohibition of a plant. The fault naturally isn't the miss allocation of funds by the politicians but those darn potheads. Of course the solution is obvious; higher taxes on the rich and ever greater government spending and we can become just as successful as Greece. t-pain
victim's fault ? well, whos fault is it when someone bungee jumps off a bridge and the rope breaks? whos fault is it when someone gets drunk and drives his car into a tree? whos fault is it when someone lights a bottle rocket out of their butt and they get burned? whos fault is it when someone goes running with the bulls and gets trampled ? let me ask a different question would you choose to walk in snow and get your shoes snowy on the unplowed sidewalk , or walk in traffic? the dead person made the choice to walk in traffic. on slippery busy roads. at night. thats the risk that he took. he wasnt a child that didnt know any better. he was an adult, able to make adult choices. like joining the army or ignoring the "rules of the road". news says the first driver contacted police yesterday and he isnt under arrest yet. wonder if its lt gov' brother again haha. trichcycler
Exactly, who would be walking down the road at night ? see that naked guy on the freeway on the news the other day?could be he was ill, or lost, or worse? a little compassion for the dead man walking maybe, instead of the hit and run driver is all?drivers must yield to pedestrians I thought, and stop when they run them over. even junkies, thugs, and night time creeps, or people walking home from work.so there zapatosunidos
YesMichigan
Answering as a citizen of the "New" United Socialist States of America? whos fault is it when someone bungee jumps off a bridge and the rope breaks? The Operator of the bungee business. whos fault is it when someone gets drunk and drives his car into a tree? The person that over served them. whos fault is it when someone lights a bottle rocket out of their butt and they get burned? The people who allow bottle rockets to exist. Prohibit them, they are like guns. whos fault is it when someone goes running with the bulls and gets trampled ? They do that in Spain so it is "progressive" because they are socialists and thus ahead of dirty capitalist Americans. nsmn8r
