+Malamute
Here is Michigan Cannabis Coalition(MCC)'s legalization initiative(attached). This is Matt Marsdens group. There are 3 initiatives for legalization in the works. Michigan Responsibility Council(MRC) are the ones that want ten grows. And MILegalize is the "Michigan cannabis communities" offering. This is the first group to submit actual language and to show actual funding for said initiative. Read closely. I will comment in later posts. I just wanted this out there. +Malamute
2 "flowering" plants. Still horrible. They do allow cities to allow more to be grown with permits. But yea... ack. At least this one leaves the MMMAct alone. So yea,... number is still 12. :-) cristinew
+Malamute
The amount allowed for usable marijuana and non flowering is unlimited though aye?

+Malamute
Actually, they can only ban flowering plants... heh. Weird. Besides the plant number and the allowing ban of flowering plants, it is actually a pretty well written initiative. *shrug* Sux they put those in there. t-pain
those fools, they didnt allow paraphernalia. bongs be banned! SALES of bongs to people are allowed, but possession of bongs? must be illegal. it shall be lawful for persons 21 years or oder to cultivate marihuana in their own homes indoor growing only. sec 8. Nothinjg in this act shall be deemed to amend, alter or supersede the use, possession, aquisition, cultivation, manufacture, delivery, internal possession or transfer of marihuana for medical use that is undertaken in accord with the medical marihuana act. (f) "Medical use" means the acquisition, possession, cultivation, manufacture, use, internal possession, delivery, transfer, or transportation of marihuana or paraphernalia why does the wording not include transportation? or paraphernalia? not important i guess... (sec 10) the legislature may pass laws implementing this act that are not in conflict with its provisions. is this constitutional ? putting limits on the legislature in the law? if yes, why not use this in the milegalize? "the legislature must remove marijuana and thc from the controlled substances act and public health code michigan compiled laws no later than 30 days after this act is implemented" or at least put it in there so they cant mess up any part of the law, taking it from 12 plants to 2 plants....... t-pain
oh man. they messed up big time. are you ready for this? (d) this act shall not permit possession or use of marihuana or marihuana-infused products: (6) in any public place so you can buy it from a licensed facility, but cannot possess it as you walk to your car. you can share it with your 21+ buddies, but they cant possess it in a public place (sidewalks, roads, parks, gov buildings) seriously, someone needs to contact these people and fix this. unless they want drive-thru only dispensaries LOL Wild Bill
t-pain
sec 4c typo "at retail marihuana-infused products" whut? © a marihuana facility may also manufcature or otherwise prepare marihuana-infused products. Marihuana cultivation facilities may only sell marihuana-infused products to marihuana retail facilities. Marihuana retail facilities may only sell at retail marihuana-infused products obtained from a marihuana cultivation facility or which are prepared by such marihuana retail facility, itself. GrowGoddess
I get the impression that no matter what, there is language and details left out deliberately so that patients and citizens can still be harassed, prosecuted, and punished. What about hash, concentrates? No hash or concentrates is BS. I didn't read the document, just the comments here. If marijuana is going to be legal, what the F is the big deal about limits and restrictions. If it is legal, we should be able to grow what we want/need without harassment. I am sick and tired of all of the ridiculous nit picking rules. It is a plant that helps people in many ways. Oregano and other herbs carry great medicinal properties as well. Does that give them the power to harass me or punish me, tell me how much I can possess and what I can do with it? Fear not, that day is coming. Morning glories have been banned in a few states already. The reason why morning glories are banned, they are adding chemicals to the packaged seeds like fungicides and it is making people sick. Maybe it is the chemicals that should be banned, not the plant. DAMMIT! I want some magic mushrooms! It has been a long time! While I am on a rant, I have always wanted to try peyote. Does that make me a bad person? I mind my own business on my own property. What does it matter to them if I am eating magic mushrooms at my own home? Morning glory seeds are known to contain 1/10 the potency of LSD. Warning to anybody wanting to eat the seeds, you can count on all of the packaged seeds being covered with a fungicide. Heck, pretty much everything has some sort of poison on or in it. Look into what is actually in an American beer, it is certainly not beer, just a cesspool of chemicals. Edit: I suffer from migraines, the doctor gave me Vioxx before it was pulled. They are allowed to prescribe medicine that could kill me (it didn't work anyway). I have heard from many sources that magic mushrooms, used in small amounts, can effectively treat migraines and cluster headaches without psychedelic effects. If this was a truly free country, I would be allowed to use those mushrooms to treat my headaches, but no, they want me to use their poisons, that do not work. I don;t even know where I can get the real spores or the mushrooms themselves. It is very sad, it is a fungus, get over it! t-pain
for concentrates, it does not look like the language allows for personal creation of edibles or concentrates. although it says "use of marihuana" is allowed for adults, it does not define "use". it maybe a "flower only" initiative? who knows. its not clear. definitely not enough protections for people though. GrowGoddess
This video is worth watching. The way things should be. I think our country is capable of providing the highest quality medicinal cannabis. I also believe we could supply the entire world and it would be a multi trillion dollar industry without toxic chemicals, poisons, or weapons. The only violence around cannabis is the governments and their rules. Remove the rules, then the violence would subside. I truly believe our government enforces the rules to encourage violence and suffering. I have asked this before and will ask it again, who are the real criminals? (I hope you are all able to see this) https://www.facebook.com/108035282609956/videos/10150156907015439/ AmishRnot4ganja and beourbud

beourbud
So, it's been like , almost 7 years and our current law is STILL being "interpreted by the courts. The bills currently being proposed by the repub alphabet soup of Prohibitionist are so badly written they will be screwing us for years interpreting it in the courts. This bill was written by folks who know little about cannabis but want to control the rules and distribution and testing The only way to keep these fknrepublicans out of our homes and medicine cabinets is to Decriminalize the Plant Completely. grow as much as you want where you want it. Tax the sales / transfers. Anything more is just a scheme to restrict us from growing our own Meds. it is Clear these fknrepublicans are anti patient, CareGiver , outdoor grows and Home Grows. are we going to let these repubs throw us under the buss and still charge us for the Fare?? Hell No Edited May 25, 2015 by beourbud
