Plant Half Veg, Half Flower?

Years ago I saw pictures of a giant cannabis plant growing in a strange space outdoors. The are allowed some of the plant normal hours of light but the other side had 24 hour light, street lamp I think. I don't know if it was real or not but am considering doing a similar experiment. I've got the spare plant count and room and a small tent to do it in. I think I'll put a small t5 in the tent, the tent in the flower room, and as many branches as I can stuffed through a vent hole exposed to the flower room light.

 

Wondering if anyone saw/heard/tried this ? I have no idea what could happen, but I cant get hermie out of my mind....

couple of the grow books mention that you can flower just one branch of a plant while the main plant is in veg.

 

could hermie, could just work normal.

 

in the wild, not all of the plant gets all of the sunlight, if its under a tree or something. so the plant will mature at different times.

It seems I can remember a article talking about how much light can disturb flowering and the used an example of an out door plant where their was some sort of street light or outside light hitting some of the plant causing only a portion not to flower. I also remember a picture.
