Disappointed that the perspective still seems to be determining and describing the harmful effects rather than any benefits.

It's still good to listen and be aware of what the anti's have come up with.

it looks like what they are aiming for is trying to find out how cannabis modifies the cb1/cb2 and then find a chemical that does the same thing "without getting you high".

 

except every time they develop a drug that plays with the ECS, it causes terrible depression / suicidal thoughts.

though very many pain relievers have some 'high effects', it seems unacceptable to this conference for a cannabis based pain reliever to have the same effect

taking bets if they cite the study on marijuana giving you reefer madness.

I've listened to most of it and what I came up with is that these do not want to discover anything ... they are more concerned with job security.

 

The fact that NIDA and the FDA work so closely together kinda says it all.

FDA new director is talking about ZIKA virus right now. this is a marijuana conference.

I listened to a speaker discuss epilepsy when I initially posted the link yesterday and found it quite informative and thought provoking. He was discussing physiological and pharmacological mechanisms. That's the only portion I've listened to. I'll listen to more over the next few days, assuming it's available. Hopefully there's more like his presentation. 

 

The general position of the NIH seems to be somewhat expected, just have to look past that to get to the substance.
