The need they are filling is recreational.

They don't want to play by the rules.

That's why they get busted.

They are just greedy

And when they get raided they come here for pity.

The title should read. Save Our Asses

Abrogate is the Solution

lol

recreational?

really?

there are no rules for them yet to play by.

they were not included in our act.. that does not mean they are not needed or wanted.

they get busted because they are easy cash cows.

they pay to play.

as do the people who NEED to use them.

everyone knows a patient is NOT gonna use a dispensary and pay top dollar unless they absolutely NEED to... for whatever reason.

it is to cost prohibitive to use a dispensary other than for absolute need.

any patient who has a better deal will use it.

Well until your interpretation matches the fknrepublicans, courts and LEO interpretation the

Dispensaries will only continue to be raided and agrivate the situation.

Really, I don't think the establishment cares.

And Really. The image projected by these raids is a yuge negative on the MMMP

Recreational will come when we Abrogate. Until then we need to curb the enthusiasm to sell outside the registry.

What's this like the 3 or 4th time they got raided.

If bus is so good, support Abrogate.

Ha!! folks' Farmers Markets didn't work out so now dispensaries suck huh.

throw patients under the bus because some politician wants to impose his own agenda upon cannabis users.

the only people who do NOT want dispensary action are those who are either

A) in direct competition or

B)law enforcement or those who wish to control us..the people.. the masses

that about covers it.  follow the mouthing froth, the money, the anger......right back to the guys renting out picnic tables with full jars to growers telling them its all good and legal, until it wasn't.   all butt hurt now.

Patients drive dispensaries, get over it. If they don't want them, they'll dry up. recreational vs medical user?  divide and conquer knuckleheads(no offense knucklehead :skydive:)

Dispensaries across the country and in Lansing are currently begging to throw patients and caregivers under thebus for their commercial dreams to come true.

If you seen and heard what these dispensaries lobbyists offer up, you would feel different about your positions.

It isn't like I even give the holiest of crapss that people sell marijuana,.. heh, I mean seriously; but if you want to protect what you have and expand your rights, commercialization is not the answer unfortunately.  If everyone grows and everyone can trade or gift,... there is no need for licensed commercialization.  The patients haven't spoken, they simply haven't been given proper options.

edit add-on: .... and commercialization is pretty far down the list in proper options due to climate, environment, greed, selfishness, and the lack of ability to make it happen.  Dispensaries will not come as an "add -on or improvement"; it will come at a cost,... a cost to the sick, disabled and those who care for them.  Don't forget it.

Always remember the dispensary advocate in the legislature, Calton ® said in public, on record;

A VOTE AGAINST DISPENSARIES IS A VOTE FOR HOME GROWS.

He said it to bolster his deal to sell us dispensaries to REPLACE home grows.

To pretend and hide from that part of the reality of the supply equation of the situation is just not genuine. It's real and the same people are still involved saying the same thing. Don't ignore it. Realize it.

Dispensaries don't suck. Not all of them anyway. I can image there might be a good one. Has to be good ones. But if I have to choose between them and my home grow I choose to keep my home grow. The legislature drew the line in the sand. Not us growers. We are just fighting to protect our grows.

The commercial lobby is getting worse as well.  Its ugly.

They really don't give a fuk about you, the patient. At all.

Sure the random owner here or there are perfectly nice people,... they will also be scraped off the boots of the true commercialists.

Many of these people are giving money to the dispensary lobby, thinking they are being represented and not trying to hurt patients; they could not be more mistaken.

Someday, there wont be people able to stop them anymore.

I grow tired of protecting our rights.

The Wolves of Fenric will rise eventually.

May our gardens, privacy and protections survive.

It's pretty easy for someone to look at this on the surface and just get that little grin on their face and say, "Awe, you just don't want dispensaries because you will lose your patients and your cash flow,". That's really cute and you might get some traction with that. But it'a a false flag. It's a sham. Because our law makers want to downsize home grows They want to kill our supply and replace it with their supply.

GAYLORD — Medical marijuana dispensary owners, caregivers and activists are looking to sue the Michigan State Police, Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement and others following raids of every Otsego County dispensary Thursday evening.

Ben Horner, a board member for the Cannabis Stakeholders Group — a nonprofit organization with a mission to give more Michigan residents safe access to medical marijuana — said Friday he and others are working to reach out to patients and caregivers who were injured or had a loss as a result of the Thursday raids.

Horner said Michael Rola, Otsego County prosecutor, signed off on these search warrants and by doing so, Horner said he violated the recently enacted Gaylord medical marijuana ordinance amendment — which officially added medical marijuana provisioning centers as an approved use in areas deemed C-1 and C-2 Commercial District by the city zoning ordinance — as well as the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act.

“According to the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act, all patients can get medicine from wherever they want,” he said. “The city gives permission and law enforcement enforces a different set of laws.”

Joe Duff, city manager, declined comment when asked whether the actions by SANE and other law enforcement was in violation of the city ordinance amendment or not.

Rola deferred questions regarding Horner's claim that the raids violated the zoning ordinance amendment to the city, while he strongly disagreed with Horner's interpretation of medical marijuana law.

“He's wrong,” Rola said. He explained if dispensary owners or caregivers are found using, selling, distributing, maintaining or storing a controlled substance, it is in violation of the law. Caregivers and dispensary owners found with more marijuana than what is allowed, selling to unregistered patients or selling to more patients than what is allowed are also violating the law.

All nine medical marijuana dispensaries in Gaylord, in addition to another in Vanderbilt, were served with search warrants Thursday. The Gaylord City Police, Otsego County Sheriff's Department, Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement, Michigan State Police and were among several other law enforcement branches conducting the searches.

Two arrests have been made so far, though more are expected.

More than 150 jars and numerous bags of marijuana were seized by law enforcement officials, a Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement press release indicates, in addition to countless edibles in the form of chocolates, cookies, fudge and others. Marijuana infused drinks, waxes, extracts and oils were confiscated as well.

Reports also indicated 143 marijuana plants were found and seized, as well as prescription opiates, prescription drugs, more than $17,000 in cash and two vehicles. Officers also found a lab for manufacturing THC oil and three marijuana grow operations.

The investigations regarding these dispensaries remain ongoing.

Horner said a peaceful protest is being organized and is expected to take place Sunday.

They may prevent us from re opening they may prevent me from providing to anybody but I will always be an advocate when I see somebody hurting.”

Medical marijuana dispensary owners in Otsego County, spent Friday trying to decide their future.

That's after a raid Thursday night targeted 10 different Otsego County dispensaries.

Nine of the centers are in the city of Gaylord and one of them is in Vanderbilt.

For many of the dispensary owners, this is the second time they've been targeted.

Police say it’s because they are operating outside the law.

9&10’s Kalin Franks has continuing coverage from Gaylord.

“They are not only hurting the community they are hurting the people who actually need the medical marijuana who now can’t get it because they operate outside the law.” Says Michigan State Police Lt. Derrick Carroll.

Patients around Gaylord are now without their medical marijuana after several raids on Thursday night.

“It’s hurting a lot of people not being able to get their medication.”

Michigan state police say the dispensaries are giving more to patients than they are allowed and they're making illegal 'edible' marijuana products.

“Making oils with the candies that the dangerous part too because children see that in the homes and there have been so many instances of children and toddlers believing this is candy.”

“What about cigarettes! What about alcohol! What about prescription medications!? - it’s a ploy!” Says Dispensary owner, Tom Looze.

Dispensary owners are upset, banding together Friday to support one another and the cause they believe in- one they think law enforcement is intent on shutting down

“Why is this business so bad when absolutely everyone is trying to do the right thing?” Says Looze

“I do believe the system is working against the medical marijuana patients in the state.” Says Dispensary owner, Frank James.

Officials maintain that as long as dispensary owners stay within the law there will not be any more problems

“Michigan State Police supports the medical marijuana laws we support the person’s right to use medical marijuana and a person’s legal right to distribute medical marijuana.” says Lt. Carroll

Yesterday I visited a recently opened shop in my area, not because I needed meds, but to just review the place.

With the recent City council meeting etc... I think it important to get out and see what my local shops are about.

Nice and clean, bud tenders were pleasant but had very little to no knowledge about the medicine they were selling.

I purchased 1g.  The bottles have my full name printed on it now, in what I feel is an attempt to be 'legit' and I am not

liking it nor am I falling for the façade.

Once home, I took a look at the (very small buds) under my loupe.... this medicine has been kiefed, meaning almost

ALL the trichome heads have been knocked off.

They make what is called Moon Rocks (bud coated w/ oil then coated in kief)... hmmm now I know where all that kief

comes from.

Dirty bastids.  I am not saying the shops up north do this also... this is just one example of course.

Why I bring it to this thread is to show that it does happen and probably more that we know.

I will be hitting as many shops in my area as possible w/ my loupe and I will have more to say to my City Council

very shortly on the lack of compassion / and the profit driven businesses.

This is just wrong and I will not be supporting ANY dispensaries EVER.

I do not believe what I experienced is an isolated incidence.

please explain the legal way to sell indiscriminately to every card holder passerby in a day?  no scarcasm, I believe some important points are often missed. like when cops say things like "operate legit and we leave you alone"  I want to know the legit way to sell pounds a day at a store front if there is one. there are a lot of good business people out there capable of doing that job well I'm sure.

Just off the top of my head;

Pyramid scheme with a daisy chain relationship in the registry including a magic hat where the cannabis goes in and when it comes out possession is 9 tenths of the law and you now own it. Make that two magic hats, one for cannabis and the other for the money. Then you would need an armed guard on the hats to make sure the right hand was going into the right hat at the right time.
