I mean, dispensaries are just black market dealers. Corner dime bag dealers.

I see no difference between dispensaries and black market pot dealers except the black market dealers aren't so dumb as to open a storefront, put a bullseye on their foreheads, and pretend to be legal by giving caregivers a bad name.

A law will need to be passed to regulate dispensaries to protect patients.

Period.

Until then, get a Caregiver.

:-)

I agree.

Sorta.

A law will need to be passed to protect the industry as it protects people as individuals and does not favor any one particular person or entity to be able to legally gain total market control.

That being said...

The law currently protects patients to procure cannabis from any source.

Your thinking is very narrow there.

I disagree

However that being said..

As a patient I have the protected right to choose.

Many patients use and support dispensaries so perhaps the judgement should be left up to them?

Well, I have no issues with the black market personally.

I have issues with how dispensaries  operate, their over market prices,  how they have pretended to be registered caregivers, and they incessant drumbeat to throw patients and caregivers under the bus for their own advancement.

All of them do that?

All dispensaries are evil your saying?

No sterotyping?

They do?

Then why do patients go there?

Why can they exist in a capitalism market?

If they are evil then would not the market drive them out?

It also does not address the issue of a registered patient who has a named caregiver they are mostly happy with however they want to sample other exotic strains...

It would allow p2p if a p has no c. But if a p has a designated c the it would fold the system.

I think most patients have or should have a caregiver.

I also think they need to be able to "shop around"

Bingo..

Yes instant registry would solve the elephant in the room dilema...

And here is the real elephant in the room UNFORTINATELY:

At what cost? All these ideas around commercialism always come with a cost to patients and caregivers.

At what cost?  How many more patients and caregiver arrests are ok as long as we get commercial pot?

What about if we allowed pt/cg's  to give away marijuana? Patients to have 2 caregvers or cg's to have ten patients?
