They throw a meeting and see if they can shake out some bingo/casino money. Some might own property, or know someone who does, so they can get someone to buy a 'pig and a poke'. We already saw that here with a poster and also with press releases. They throw a meeting and folks are looking to buy property in the area. I suppose their deal with Rowley and the Dow property could add up to 100K, but most are shaking down small potato bribes. I'm talking about clueless as far as the whole canna world goes. My twp thought that the drying would take place at the processor facility and thus wanted to zone it like it would have heavy stink. After discussion we got them on the right page so it opened up where a processing facility could do business. They didn't know about carbon scrubbers either...clueless. How about you put in the work and come up with your list the old fashioned way, through hard work? No I do not want anyone going out of their way to do research. Do public Internet forums threaten you? The information gathered is for all to see... not just me dude. This post is just another tool used to do research.....not asking for anything but what people already are aware of. Unfortunately I could never be in every town in MI 24/7, so it is important to use the internet to gather information from like minded people to be shared to all... This forum does not need negative comments or accusations....If you cannot provide any valuable info maybe you should read another topic. Thanks for Nothing.

This will help cities/townships who wish to opt-in. I have seen a couple ordinances that have been approved and not happy with the wording. They seem to include patients and caregivers into the ordinance. In my opinion, this should only be MMFLA. Now this is valuable info. Thanks for sharing.

mishigami bear
This may be an dumb question... but is all land in Michigan within some type of city or township? Stated differently, is there rural private land in Michigan only under the jurisdiction of the county?

Mystic Grains
I have contacted over 20 townships in West Michigan and N. Michigan and when I ask about this topic they all have either created an ordinance disallowing it or they have a prepared statement and almost identical to each other. THEY SAY, WE ARE GOIN TO SIT BACK AND SEE HOW THE REST OF THE STATE DOES WiTH THIS LAW BEFORE DOING ANYTHING. In other words "No way". In reality these townships are colluding to block this program completely and still, more than ever use the same excuse that it is illegal federally. This program will be a complete failure except for a few selected places where the corporates takeeover.

They are working with local business investors to get an old factory site ready for when they get the green light. Not afraid of the big bad fed it seems.

bax
maybe if i were paid i would populate a list.... I got bills to pay, I got mouths to feed There ain't nothing in this world for free. i will help a little, here are some google searches to get some results you are looking for: "MEDICAL MARIHUANA FACILITIES LICENSING ACT" ordinance "public notice" "MEDICAL MARIHUANA FACILITIES LICENSING ACT" ordinance "draft" "MEDICAL MARIHUANA FACILITIES LICENSING ACT" site:mi.us "MEDICAL MARIHUANA FACILITIES LICENSING ACT" ordinance inurl:news "MEDICAL MARIHUANA FACILITIES LICENSING ACT" ordinance gets a lot of results but you have to comb through. if you are curious about the ordinances in an area you are looking at put this in google "MEDICAL MARIHUANA FACILITIES LICENSING ACT" then add the city or township name after it. so "MEDICAL MARIHUANA FACILITIES LICENSING ACT" garden city and it brings up garden city ordinances on the subject. could automate this by getting a list of cities in the state and just searching each city and township and collecting the results. what fun! Restorium2
It's on the news almost every day. One municipality after another is shaking the bushes for bribes from people who think that they will get their foot in the door on this mega grow adventure. The State has the final say so there is no guarantee these municipalities are helping anyone after they take their bribe for an application. Applicants need to keep in mind that paying for the application means nothing at all. Getting the application from the locality is the easiest part of the process. Tnew
Does anyone know if there is a deadline for cities/townships to decided if they opt-in? When i look at the map there are very few that have made a determination. Most townships say "No Data". http://michigan-marijuana-lawyer.com/municipalities/

Many were waiting for the temporary rules and regs to be released while some want to give it a year and see how it works out for the early adopters.
annerkey
Add another Lenawee County city to the list. Saw this article today. http://www.lenconnect.com/news/20171214/adrian-oks-medical-marijuana-facilities Brief synopsis: City commission votes 5-1 for proposal ADRIAN — The city of Adrian is moving forward to allow and regulate medical marijuana facilities within the community. At a special meeting Wednesday, the Adrian City Commission by a 5-1 vote approved a regulatory ordinance’s language that would permit commercial medical marijuana facilities, including growers, processors, provisioning centers, safety compliance facilities and secure transporters. There is still a window until June to edit or adjust the ordinance, if needed. Changes coming down from state regulators could cause this to happen. Wednesday’s vote followed a year of debate, research and discussion on the topic at city commission meetings. blackhorse
