MADISON COUNTY, Ohio —

Nearly $1 million-worth of marijuana edibles were seized during a traffic stop in Ohio.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Christopher Sutton, 36, of California, was stopped Aug. 25 for a marked lanes violation in Madison County.

 

Troopers said that while approaching the vehicle, they could smell marijuana, prompting a probable cause search.

During the search, troopers said they found 198 pounds of marijuana edibles worth about $990,000.

They also found ecstasy pills.

Sutton was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of MDMA and OVI.

If convicted, he could face up to nine years in prison and a fine of up to a $17,500 fine.

I didn't know edibles smell like marijuana.
