Getting your Medcard after getting a possession charge

Hi I was pulled over last night for speeding and I had a gram in my car. They came up to the window and immediately asked where the weed was. I politely gave them the gram bag and had explained that I work 2-3 jobs 12-14 hours a day and use it for sleeping. I was planning on getting my Medcard but I had stalled a little because I had to end up bailing my girlfriend out of jail and didn’t have the money. I am wondering if I apply for my card and get it, is there any chances of getting less of a charge or getting it dissmissed? If I apply for a card and get one due to a quailifing codition, I would also have qualified before they stopped me. I didn’t get arrested, and she didn’t even put the speeding ticket on my ticket, just the possession. My girlfriend has her card and I wanted to say it was hers but I don’t want her to get in more trouble than she is already in. I’ve heard from a few friends that they have got their charges dropped by getting a card in the time between when they were caught and when their court date is. My court date is a little over a month away so what do you guys think? Should I spend the money on a card or should I save it for when I’m off probation and get a card. This is in grandville, Kent County if that means anything

I would get the card asap and postpone your court date until you have it in hand or hand the prosecutor the doctors recommendation it is possible that they might toss the possession charge.

They should throw out the charge for 1 gram. Get a good lawyer and a card.
