maxaber99
Hi - if I own a duplex and I am a caregiver growing my 72 plants and my renter in the other half of duplex is also a caregiver, can he also grow his 72 plants? thanks
Highlander
The Michigan Medical Marijuana Act does not prohibit this. But significant issues exist under federal law for sites with more than 100 plants. I think there are a few (at least two) people from Michigan who are doing time in federal prison for this issue. maxaber99
But if it is a duplex with 2 different addresses(apartment A and apartment B) and 2 different caregivers, would that still be a issue? thanks
Kingdiamond
Both of you are growing 72 plants ? Do your patients consume this much medicine because we are talking about an awful lot dried medicine here but as long as the dwellings are separated it should be within the law . Yeah there have been cases where caregivers were growing in a separated office building suites each suite was rented out as upscale grow rooms Detroit police raided it and accused them of being part of a collective set of growers dont know whatever happened with that specific case but you are correct apart they are good by the laws Set by LARA but if they try to connect the two in some fashion then it could very well become federal .
