ALL the people I know who had a drinking problem, I switched them over to marijuana and they eventually quit drinking heavily.

Since you can't do both heavily, I'm wondering what your problem really is?

The only ones who went back to drinking are the ones who quit marijuana. 

And they are so pickled now by constantly drinking too much I can't even get a coherent word out of them. 

Is it that your friends drink too much and you have to follow?
