Court Of Appeals Ruling Regarding Medical Marijuana Use While On Probation
This opinion affirmed the trial court's probation order barring the use of medical marijuana. The trial court's order was specific to the crimes of which defendant was convicted (OWI & No Ops) and was reasonably related to deterring his future drug abuse and criminality. This opinion does not say medical marijuana on probation can always be barred but the basis for the ban must be related to the specific defendant and the conviction(s).
