Can a patient that already has a caregiver be a caregiver themselves? I know the obvious answer is that the patient can grow thier own and not need a caregiver but I am curious to know the legalities of a situation like this. Thanks in advance!

Yes Casper! You can be a caregiver to others even as a patient. Just make sure you fill out the caregiver attestation form for the patient at hand and all the information goes off to the state together.

The only things that can prevent a person from being a caregiver are not being 21 years or older, or possessing a felony drug conviction. Take care of those patients!
