Kalamazoo Township may pass medical marijuana moratorium

KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Kalamazoo Township will soon discuss a proposed moratorium on medical marijuana.

 

A public hearing is set for Tuesday to talk about the proposed six month moratorium on the sale and distribution of pot used for medical issues.

 

The hearing will take place before the Kalamazoo Township Board.

 

The moratorium would allow time for officials to develop a plan for the sales of medical marijuana.

 

Michigan is one of 14 states that have legalized medical marijuana.

I still think that may be why the Sheriff down in Oakland County is so hardcore against legal patient and caregiver transfers... it cuts in on the kickbacks he gets from the street dealers. Err, I mean allegedly gets from the street dealers.
