I can't speak for all of the clubs, but I can speak for the Mt. Pleasant Compassion Club. The Mt. Pleasant Club is a support group. Basically a group that meets monthly where patients, caregivers and anyone interested in the medical marijuana program can discuss the many issues surrounding the program. All of the Mt. Pleasant Compassion Club meetings are open to the public. It is also a way for patients and caregivers to get together to share information, opinions, and help each other with growing and medicating techniques. We do not distribute medicine at the meetings, but do occasionally have giveaways of donated medicine for card holding patients. The donated medicine is not distributed during the meetings and is kept at an off site location as our meetings are held in public places.

If our club were to consider involving ourselves in a collective, it would be to have medicine be available to those patients in need at no cost to them. This would be most beneficial for those patients with very low incomes that may not be able to grow in their place of residence, or their condition is preventing them from being able to grow their own medicine. It would also be strictly donation operated, (no money involved).

The Mt. Pleasant Compassion Club is a registered Michigan Nonprofit Corporation. Our only agenda is helping people in the Michigan Medical Marijuana Community.

All in all, each club is unique and operates under different rules and conditions. Depending on where in the state they are located and who may be in charge, or what the club members have agreed upon as to how the club should be operated.

Attending different compassion club meetings in your area is a great place to start. Some clubs are very big, and others rather small. There are some where 500 people attend and others only have 5 attendees.

Hope this has been helpful for you.

Peace

:D
