I've looked but haven't found any posts about charging an individual with theft of medical marijuana from a private residence.If someone has a link to a thread I would appreciate it very much.

Without knowing all the particulars I would suggest researching state laws on the Michigan.gov website . See if it's something ya want to pursue further . Can it possibly turn into a cluster fornication or opening a pandora's box ? Do a bit-o-research and make a decision . Good Luck ,,,

Do you mean a home invasion where a theft occured or an invitee who committed the theft?

 

Either way, yes. Wouldn't be any different than a theft of anything else. Call the police and have them make a report.

One thing is for sure, it would be a double whammy if the thief cannot legally possess mj.

Yes, definitely file a police report- if you are absolutely certain you are within the law (i.e. 12 plants, under 2.5 ounces, locked enclosed facility that ONLY YOU have access too, proper certification, have card etc).
