FLINT TOWNSHIP (WJRT) -- (12/08/10) -- There is an interesting twist in Michigan's new law for Sunday liquor sales.

At least two Mid-Michigan communities will opt out of a new state law that will soon allow the sale of liquor on Sunday mornings.

Bay City and Flint Township passed ordinances that override the state law. While the law lifts the ban on liquor sales before noon on Sundays and allows sales on Christmas Day, those cities that opt out of the law won't be able to sell liquor at all on Sundays.FULL STORY

Our Gov. wrote a law that is not just vague but '"the legislation is very vague," Township Clerk Kim Courts said.'
