I guess I was crazy optimistic when I bought that 72 position tray and humidity dome. That is going to be used for vegetables and flowers from here on out because I found a better option for growing from seed!

I bought one of those mini hothouse kits you can buy at any big box retailer this time of year. They come as tomato, pepper, herb starter kits with peat pellets and mini pots inside.

I have a 6 position one that germinated all 6 in less than 48 hours. I used rapid rooter plugs because the peat pellets got used for the kitchen herbs, heh. As a bonus, I can get a good cfl within 2 inches of the sprouts without removing the dome.

I made the same mistake! The Jiffy Pro Greenhouse 72 seed starter kit with heat mat is overkill! It will be fine with a tall dome to root clones in though! 2x2' Hydrofarm 6400k cfl right close to top works great though!
