Soil Question

I stoped into my local garden center today looking for a deal on sum foxfarm ocean forest got to talking to the guy working and he was telling me he mixes equal parts of foxfarm ocean forest and foxfarm happy frog and gets a darn good soil from doing so. Any one ever do this? does it sound like a bad idea? or do ya think it would make for a good soil? I have been thinking of switching from foxfarm soil to roots organig soil. Has any one tried or does any one use roots organic soil?

I use the roots and mix it 50/50 with the happy frog. My girls have never been happier!
