Swamp Coolers/evaporative Cooler

There are all sizes for all kinds of square footage. Swamp coolers are supposed to use less power than regular A/C units as they use fans and water for cooling.

 

I'm not sure if these are good for our needs.

 

Has any one use these in smaller areas like a one car garage? Or in larger areas such as an area of 3,000 sqft or larger?

 

I'm hearing these are just so, so in high humid areas and all that air movement can't be directly on the plants as they will be jumping around too much.

 

Looking for more of a cost effective product to cool with a smaller electrical foot print on power consumption, which this is as long as it works. Would like to get input on this before investing on this non returnable product.

for flower and VEG.. I think these jack up the humidity levels very high exspecially in smaller spaces like a garage. So i'm thinking the higher humidity in Flower stage would not be good, for mold etc.

Worked great when I lived in Arizona, probably wouldn't be as effective in Michigan. Would probably work well in the upper part of a structure like a pole barn or building inside where it gets hot and dry. Just my .02.
