Light Meter/lumens Conversions To Lux? My Readings Say The Sun Is Too Bright?

I don't remember much about this...light meter readings need to be converted into lux. Full sun is reading something high, like 10,000 lumens per square foot, which is how many lux? It seems like readings had to be converted to lux, which is light per square meter? Any growers or photographers out there able to help?
