Tonight- The country's leading medical marijuana advocacy organization, Americans for Safe Access (ASA), has teamed up with the world's largest cannabis information resource, Leafly, to run advertisements designed to bring the conversation about medical cannabis to the mainstream and educate both the NFL and its fan base on the medical benefits of cannabis, in USA Today in some, select, major markets.


Update on the progress of the several local ballot initiatives to legalize small amounts of cannabis for adults in communities around Michigan. There continues to be some resistance and challenges from the local governments, in some of the cities where petitions have been turned in.


And- a unique legal strategy, Federal Court, is denied without hearing in a decision issues by a federal district court judge in the western district of Michigan.


Joining us tonight- Attorney John Targowski, the "Professor," who has argued in Federal Court that the reality of the nature of cannabis is significantly more well known than at the time it was placed on the controlled substances list, in the most dangerous category, as a schedule 1 drug, and that the understanding and acceptance of cannabis use has also significantly changed in recent years in society in general and that an evidentiary hearing should be held to determine if it remains appropriate to treat cannabis as a dangerous substance with serious legal consequences for those associated with it.

Mike Liszewski- As Policy Director at ASA, Mike works with patients, advocates, and elected officials at the state, local and national level to create new laws and improve existing ones that allow patients to have safe access to medical cannabis therapy.
